The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Movie Blurb by Shale May 2, 2014 This was my movie to see this week and it doesn't really need any kind of review because the ppl who want to see it will see it. It also assumes you have seen the first movie, but there are enuf flashbacks to bring anyone up to the storyline of this movie. The Amazing Spider Man - July 2012 http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?p=7306411#post7306411 This movie lets us know what happened to Peter Parker's (Andrew Garfield) parents which he is still trying to come to grips with and which his Aunt May (Sally Field) has not talked about with him. He and Gwyn Stacy (Emma Stone) are a couple now (In the movie and in real life) but Peter is having problems with his broken promise to her dying father (Denis Leary) who asked him to leave her for her own protection. Gwen & Peter Conflicted So, much of the movie is him being in love with her but having to leave her to keep her from being targeted. (But that never works with superheroes does it?) Their chemistry on screen seems quite relaxed and real. Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper) dies, leaving Oscorp to his neglected son Harry (Dane DeHaan), who was long time friends with Peter. Now they are kindred spirits again being sort of loners in a hostile world. Peter Parker & Harry Osborn During a chaotic car chase thru NYC, Spider-Man saves the life of a pedestrian, Max Dillon, (Jamie Foxx) an engineer who works at Oscorp. Max is a bit of a introverted nutcase, who fantasizes his great friendship with Spider-Man. Spider Man Saves Max There is an industrial accident at Oscorp, where Max falls into a tank with electric eels and gets pretty much fried. But, he revives later but changed into an electrical energy being known as Electro. When he feels spurned by Spider-Man he becomes his enemy. Max / Electro But wait, there's more. Harry inherits a malady from his dad and takes an Oscorp experimental cure that turns him into a crazed Goblin with a military flying platform. So, just like the original series of movies there are two villains for Spider-Man to battle and Gwen is caught up in this battle just as Mary Jane was in the original, which is also on top of a building where falling and webslinging are part of the action. I enjoyed the movie - it was what I came to see. I saw it in 2-D, tho it is playing in 3-D and you can tell the scenes that are made for that gimmick.
