    Franklin Delano Rosiveldt (he had warts too, everyone does, but he was just what the u.s. needed, and was mostly good for the world,
    and most of the safety net was created with his blessing on his watch, not to mention america's contribution to wwii)

    Domestically initiated The Great society - seeing the passage of many major laws that affected civil rights, gun control, wilderness preservation and Social security.
    Foreign policy however saw the infamous conflict in Asia take a huge toll and his popularity decline. Escalation of the conflict saw civil unrest and major riots.
    He chose not to stand for re-election - in 1968 delivered the statement to the Nation "I shall not seek and would not accept the nomination of my party for another term as your President."

    I remember from my youth of KISSINGER being in the media spotlight as an advocate of Peace and Mediation, particularly with the East and Asian continents.
    As time went on, his involvement with US Foreign policies saw a different side of a shrewd, focused and determined individual who was nevertheless extremely effective in delivery.

    LENIN: (Vladimir IIyich-(Влади́мир Ильи́ч Ленин)) = Russian revolutionary, politician, and Head of the Soviet Union 1917 to 1924.
    Lenin encouraged economic growth through the market-oriented through a New Economic planning strategy following the earlier World -wide conflict. Following failing health Lenin (Left) died in Gorki, and succeeded by Joseph Stalin (Right)

    Widely considered one of the most significant and influential figures of the 20th century, Lenin was the posthumous subject of a pervasive cult status within the Soviet Union until it's disillusion in 1991.
    An ideological figurehead behind Marxism–Leninism and thus a prominent influence over the international communist movement.
    A controversial and highly divisive historical figure: viewed by supporters as a champion of socialism and the Working class, whilst others saw him as the architect of an authoritarian regime responsible for political repression

    Mao Tse Tung - Chairman Mao, was a Chinese communist revolutionary who became the founding father of the People's Republic of China, which he ruled as the Chairman of the Communist Party of China from its establishment in 1949 until his death in 1976.

    PANKHURST: (Emmeline Goulden) An advocate and Political activist from Manchester, England. She led the Suffragette movement to win the right for women to vote. (Her husband Richard Pankhurst, a lawyer and active supporter was the author of
    author of the Married Women's Property Acts of 1870 and 1882, which allowed women to keep earnings or property acquired before and after marriage)

    Adopting a radical policy of protest that included demonstrations, window smashing, arson and hunger strikes.
    Like many others she was arrested on numerous occasions over the next few years and went on hunger strike herself, resulting in violent force-feeding.
    In 1918, the Representation of the People Act gave voting rights to women over 30. She died on 14 June 1928, shortly after women were granted equal voting rights with men (at 21).
    - Recently she was memorialised in her home town of Manchester with a statue unveiled near to the site which saw the Peterloo massacre of 1819 -
