I went to a new produce store tonight. They had all sorts of great, fresh meat, unlike the supermarket. The chicken was pink, not yellow or grey. The beef was red, not reddish-brown. I bought two packs of chicken thighs, a pack of pork chops, and a nice steak...and next door I bought a six pack to go with it. :coolgleamA:

 

could it be the packaging?...meat will change color when covered with plastic but when you expose it to oxygen again it usually gets its color back

 

I dunno, but this meat looks really good. I've never seen meat this fresh at the other supermarket that I was going to. The steak was incredible, not dry at all, hardly any marbling, the least fatty steak I've seen. They had fresh fish on ice too.

I bought some fruit and stuff too. The grapefruits at this new place make the other ones seems bland.

 

Maybe in the morning and after some sleep it will be funny to TipsyGypsy.

i must agree with my skinny mechanic friend from too far up north..i am laughing...you fuckers just cheered me up after a crap day....water leaking out my ceiling in the kitchen...kid was bit of a handful today...it was too hot....among other complaints

 

What'd you do? You try out that new engine?

 

I'm not skinny

no..needs lots of prep work swapping parts...this engine needs the oil pan changed and on these models the differential and front axle passes through the oil pan..and a lot of stuff is hard to take apart without breaking...today I broke a small piece that cost $500 to replace so I fixed instead of getting a new one

plus people keep phoning and needing me for other stuff

 

...as long as somebody is laughing, I guess. It's worth the effort.
