My dad and I were just bemoaning the government (strangely enough) And he said something to the effect of "They're all as bad as each other" To which I replied "Yeah, vote MDC" oops, wrong country Hahahaha I think i have Zimbabwe on the brain (MDC are the official opposition to mad bobs regime) On another note I got some awesome political t-shirts made up courtsey of cafepress.com including my favourite "Rob Mugabe" then on the back "Before Mugabe Robs You!" Politics exam tomorrow...its my obsession and my best subject....yay!
I was at this environmental politics seminar - and Roy Woodbridge was guestspeaking (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0802086039/002-2316606-0130410?v=glance&n=283155 amazing book anyway, get it). Afterwards, a couple of us were talking to him, and he's telling this story how he sat on a SIDC council for the economic development of Africa. Anyway, he went down to the pool for a swim and there was already a huge black guy in the pool. Roy stayed longer, and when he got out his wallet was gone. The bartender there sayed the other guy took it but that he couldn't do anything. Then, at a meeting later than night, he says the black guy speaking. It was Idi Amin who stole his wallet.
