It's bad mmmkay. It's really getting to be a problem everywhere. I have a hard time navigating the aisles of the grocery store these days because so many people stop in the middle of the aisle to text
It is bad. I can't stand it. I don't text while I drive, hell... I can barely make a phone call, much less carry on a conversation while I'm driving. I just don't do it. Nothing should be that important on a social level that you need to answer the phone or text back right that very instant someone else sends you a text. What the hell did we do before texting, before cells phones??? *Annunciation* "We - waited - until - we - had - time - to - talk." Though we didn't have the instantaneous transfer of information as we do today. My brother texts and drives. It drives me insane. You can't tell if people are texting and driving, if they're drunk, or both anymore. I see people damn near running themselves and others off the road every day because of this. Even cops! I saw a cop cross over the double line the other day looking at his computer or texting, whatever. It's bullshit, it's bad for you. Don't do it.
It has been illegal here for a while. The fine is $490 and 3 demerit points. Not that it has stopped people from doing it though. I am not sure why when there is hands free it is still such a problem for people to stop doing it. It is dangerous like a lot of other things to do while driving, not a place to be distracted for sure.
I've swerved and almost crashed doing it circa around 2003 or so before it was illegal. Nowadays I very rarely text (only when someone asks me do I send a text), but I agree that texting while driving is extremely dangerous and very bad.
i don't really see much of that. texting in the aisle i mean. i've had to stop and look something up online a few times while shopping (i did at least get out of the way to do it), and i actually felt kind of weird because i was the only person i think i've ever noticed playing on a phone while shopping. on the other hand, i do have a hard time navigating the grocery store because of people suddenly stopping in the middle of the aisle. but they're usually just stopping to stare blankly and drool on themselves, not to text.
Woman sues security. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1348923/Texting-shopper-fell-mall-fountain-sues-security-guards-laughing.html
I think the book should be thrown at em. Far more so than most drink driving. Some moronic bitch facewbooking behind the wheel killed 2 people near me and got off the hook. Even tho it was clear she was guilty. I hope someone's dog rips her apart. #tranquil-thoughtfortheday
Texting drivers have become a big threat to pedestrians, and texting pedestrians are also stepping out into traffic without looking. The whole thing is absurd. Is there nothing simple enough that humans can learn it? You can't text and do something else. How hard is that to understand?
I dont know how old my mobile is,but its ancient!Just proves how often I use it.No I've never texted or answered my phone whilst driving.I have pulled over and stopped though (safely of course)to reply to a text.I only really have a mobile to use should I break down whilst in my car, apart from that,I could easily live without it.
I hate it whenever I see someone texting when they aren't supposed to and they just think that they could do whatever they want without considering other people who they put in danger as well as themselves.
So breastfeeding while riding a moped without a helmet is totally out then? http://youtu.be/a53-qJ4H_gs
I have a lot of problems with a lot of things people do while driving and I believe it's all selfish. Like, nobody needs your lame ass boring message while you're driving. You don't need to send it. If someone is going to care, pull over then dickhead. Family car coming in the other direction doesn't need to put up with your selfishness and my only hope is that YOU die in the accident, not them.
