Wow! Australia sounds like such a wonderful place. I am dying to visit there one day. I love posts like this because hearing about a unfamiliar place from people who actually live there is better than any book or website could describe. And MetalMickey...thank you for putting down about all the (states?...sorry dumb American here) in one reply. I love reading about this stuff!
I absolutely love living in Australia...I am only 17 but hey i still do what most 18 yr olds do, except vote that it...but no I think Australia is a great country full of many great opportunities...and all my friends that ever visit here all say the same...I love Australia and rite now living in the current situation of the world today i am grateful it is here that i am...that is itself is a magnificant honour and privilege.
South australia: Everyone forgets we exist down here! Its fucking boring! We are supposed to be the marijuana state??
I went to Womadelaide years ago and got to see Nusrat Fatah Ali Khan, Gil Scott Heron, Zap Mama and many others and I have to say that you are very lucky there to have such a great festival in such a lovely park, was loads of fun!!! never got to experience any of the renowned SA pot personally (or if I did I was outta state and didn't know it!!) however the wine is something which I would gladly experience anytime....YUM!!!
