    interesting...

Anyways, I normally enjoy tax season, but this year, my wife and I are getting back jointly half of what I normally received when I was single. (?(?)) fuck that iim mad. shit dont make sense.

    anyways, E-file + DD = FTW!

I'm still waiting on mine, its' been like two or three days though.

did you claim her as an exemption that you didn't have when you were single?

the worst year for me was when my employers fucked up and gave me 3 exemptions even though i always claim zero, so at tax time instead of my usual 2-3 paycheck refund, i actually owed most of a paycheck in taxes.

no actually my wife claimed 2 dependants. I have no idea why. I think it's cuz from when "ex-alleged-baby-mama" and her two illegitimate kids were living with us, she claimed them..

But what I don't understand is why would it lower the return if you have more dependants. shouldn't it be the opposite?

and if your employer screwed up your taxes, shouldn't they compensate you or something?

i'm pretty sure you ultimately make the same amount of money either way, they just take it out of your paycheck and then refund it if you have fewer dependents instead of giving you more of your check and then taking the taxes at tax return time if you do have dependents. i have no idea why, it really doesn't make any sense. that's how it was explained to me though, and seems fairly accurate from my experience.

that employer was a stupid piece of shit. i didn't even bother saying anything to them about it.
