Last night I ate some of my oxy 10/325s and noticed when I was chewing them that there was a sweet flavor in between that bitter taste. It was weird cuz I didn't eat anything sweet within the timeframe of chewing my pills. It was like a hint of sweetness that I can't explain. Anyone else noticed a sweet taste when chewing up their pills? Maybe it was the additives flavor that caused it or the fillers?? Don't know but was def sweet tasting a bit.

The way I take Hydro's now is to break the 10mg pills in half and let them dissolve in my mouth. I've never noticed any sweetness, just bitterness. I've done it so much though that it doesn't bother me.

some of the pills use glucose or the like as a binder. Which could explain the sweetness!

I have a feeling that meds are deliberately made to taste bitter, because what if we had candy-flavored Oxycontin? If a little kid gets into his parents meds and tries one and it tastes bitter he probably won't try another.

    Never noticed any sweetness.

I have noticed opiates have messed w my sense of smell at times... like, smelling things that aren't there or noticing smells I wouldn't have before and since taste and smell are directly related maybe that's why?...

I've chewed up and let dissolve in my mouth, some bitter tasting opiates before, but NONE compared to getting a Vivarin caffeine tablet stuck in my throat. By far, worse tasting pill I've experienced!

If you think that's bad, try letting a Xanax dissolve in your mouth.

I had actually gotten to the point of LIKING the taste of benzos when chewing them up.

Anyways, was thinking and the ONLY pill I have ever tasted that was sweet tasting was the coating on Advil.

I agree with terrorist. Benzos have always tasted good to me. Opiates are bitter but I found the outer shell of the original Canadian Ocs to have a sweet taste

Maybe it's just the type I get. They're the peach-colored 0.5mg footballs. They're not only bitter, but there's an under-taste of something nasty that's hard to describe.

Most benzos are nearly tasteless or even slightly sweet.

NOT alprazolam tho, that shit is bitter is fuck and the taste tasked a long time to go away.
