earlier today i was driving on the interstate, in rather heavy traffic. i could feel the rage and anger and anxious tension rising up. slowly my mind was becoming consumed by these thoughts and emotions. then i wrested control away from the situation, and took ahold (symbolically) of the rage and anger, and chucked it (symbolically) out the window. and INSTANTLY, i felt better. suddenly, i was in control of my thoughts again, and the traffic conditions had no effect on me. i had made my mental processes tangible, and gained that measure of control over them. it made the day go so well ~Clover
I am generally able to do the same, throw the road rage out the window, except for in Manhattan - if you don't assume full road rage mentality before entering that city, you are DONE for.
I think it's a good idea... being able to through that rage out the window physically and metaphorically... how empowering....
