And it think we're done with it now. There are plenty other channels of nerd. Something I said to my sister a couple days ago that she named the nerdiest comment of the evening: "I want to MARRY Voltaire, and bear his independently thinking children!!!"
I spent 2.6 hours on my last assignment so far, and I estimate another 3.4 should be enough time to finish it ahead of the deadline. I hope to get at least 93 % which, if I am correct will secure a 3.85 GPA. How much time have you spent so far? The 800mhz FSB motherboards are out, wanna go check them out? Arent they sweet? I tore a hole in the elbow of my new cardigan when I tripped over that stuupid hose. Why would someone leave a hose right there on the sidewalk? Those neanderthals, I would have told them off, but I was in a hurry to get to chess club. I just got some new sci-fi paperbacks and can't wait to read them, that makes over 700 in my collection so far. Damn, my pencil tip broke again, what is the use of a pocket protector if it doesn't protect pencils? I think I am going to switch to 2B from HB lead pencils, do you think that is allowed?
i hate what they did to the star wars trilogy, i dont want a classic film with semi-good graphics, i want a crappy looking film! why did they remake them digitally i ask you? WHY!?!?!?!?!
Ash, you send me into cardiac arrythmias... and whenever you post in a thread I'm posting in I develop moderate hypertension, with a diastolic pressure of 105 and a systolic pressure of 170.
According to the booklet in my home blood pressure monitor kit 105/170 is referred to as moderate high blood pressure. I could go to 120/190 if that gives you your jollies...
I love The Trilogy, and The Hobbit was okay too, I read them over 25 years ago. The movies brought back a lot of memories, and the makers of it had far better vision than I would have. It is maybe the only time I have felt the movie version of a story rivalled the written one. Usually, the movies disappoint me if I have read the book already. I got one for ya. About 15 years ago, a friend took me to a StarTrek convention. No offense to anyone, but it sucked big time. I love the Shatner skit on SNL where he is speaking at one, and just rips into John Lovitz, who is in a Spock costume, it is classic. maclean and maclean have a great little audio one on one of their albums too, it is priceless.
Whoa...you have a Shakespeare Society????? And a Beatnik Club????? Damn, I want to go to your school. I am also in the Environmental Club, and the Drama Troupe, which both could be geeky if you say them in the right voice. And the Gay - Straight Alliance, but that's just cool. Well, it COULD be cool. All my membershiop has really accomplished is me getting asked even more often if I'm a lesbian. And, no, I'm not. Oh, and I a copy of the Silmarillion just happens to be sitting on the table next to me as I type.
We have a Gay/Straight Alliance club too, but I can't join it until sophomore year. I was in Friends of Animals, but it's on the same day as Beatnik and Shakespeare, so I had to choose. It was hard. I just realized that I'm not a geek, I'm just interested in awesome things.
