Taboos

Hi Everyone, I don’t think everyone really understands what Taboo means…and it’s strange, some things that were very Taboo 100 years ago are not even given a thought in much of modern society and some which were common practice 200-300 years ago are now strictly prohibited by society (thus Taboo). So who’s to say 500 years from now what they will be?

So here was the definition I was broadly using:

a strong social or cultural prohibition against certain behaviors, actions, or discussions that are considered unacceptable, offensive, or sacred.

So I think for my purpose, I will no longer even use the word “Taboo” publicly on this forum and likely not comment on this thread again.

It sad to say, but those that enjoy living in the “Lifestyle” are frowned upon by society. When it comes to taboo, I clearly don’t want children involved, period! But otherwise, “Don’t yuk on someone else’s yum”

 

Taboos come and go with the times. In the 1950's women didn't go without a bra. It was taboo to do so. In the early 1800's going without was normal as there was no such thing as a bra. In the 1800's having a tattoo was taboo. Today tattoos are a rather popular body mod.

 

I can't imagine all the inanimate objects you've made love to over the years.
