My favorite picture was of her sitting in a chair, wearing jeans and a tshirt but I couldnt copy it from her site

She also has this huge scar in her arm and its never airbrushed in her pictures, in my eyes that adds a little sexiness to her.

I think you try to categorize people in groups a little too much and beauty transcends labels.

I find it amusing when people think it's superficial to like blondes with make up, but not superficial to reject people offhand because they are skanky or "typical" or whatever.

It's just as superficial. Anyway, I deny neither objectification nor superficiality. Everybody does it, and I'm proud to be one who owns up to it.

No, I got that. I was saying something else. I was saying that, thinking SS isn't pretty is one thing. Saying she is ugly is another.

If you said she's downright ugly, than I'd say there is some kind of prejudice at work. Zooey is not ugly. She's actually pretty cute. But she doesn't do it for me.

I agree with you about some of this. when Nesta had that sig with the 3 girls drinking beer, a lot of people were putting down the obvious knockout blonde because she looked too "conventionally good looking" or some dilettantish idea. it's just another kind of stupid elitism.

when you make these calls on women and say that one looks chaste, or one looks frisky or sophisticated I know what you're talking about, but often these concepts are formed based on surface qualities that might not hold true if you knew the girl personally. unless you're going on looks alone.

 

I generally like cute more than anything. sometimes I wonder if I have latent pedo instincts.

We're on the same page then. My reaction to Zooey or to any other girl (especially if we're talking about people I don't know) are immediate and I'm aware of my prejudice as I form opinions of them.

So I take what I say, and the workings of my own mind with a grain of salt. And yet, who could deny having prejudices?

If I were to actually meet Zooey in some kind of context, I'd give her every chance. But, her picture got no physical reaction out of me. The picture of a Kate Winslett or a Scarlett Johansson does.

I dont have any problem with typical, au contraire my friendI find women that I see everyday in the street WAY more beautiful than girls on magazines or tv.

The thing with skankiness is that you can be sexual without the need to look like a hooker, so I guess I just dont get it, but Im not categorizing every girl that everybody else post here as hipster, virginal, whatever because I just see girls who are pretty or ugly, the skankiness just adds to the ugliness. Again Im not rejecting people offhand because they are skanky.

When I was in my 20s, if a girl wasn't voluptuous (particularly in back) she didn't get as much as an audition.
