While my wife and I are happily married and not swingers, we would love to attend a swingers party or masquerade party. Not to share but to enjoy what's going on and maybe do our thing in front of others.

Has anyone ever been to a party like this and enjoyed what is going on around but not joined in?

How would we even get an invite?

We know a couple who are into the swinging scene but could never talk to them about it as the male is a bit too sure of himself.

Where I live there are a few places to go and from what I've read, they usually have contact numbers for you to join. Just check the Internet for your area and see what you can find.

 

Your can search online for established venues (like fetish clubs) that hold swingers parties. These welcome any couples to go along and do whatever they like, in return for (usually) a pricey entrance fee. You'll probably get asked to join in, but don't have to. Such parties are often very voyeuristic, and often have rules to stick to, such as all guys must wear a condom.

Better parties are private ones organised between friends and usually held at someones home. Everyone knows someone else there, the atmosphere is much more relaxed, friendships are easily made, and so the swinging begins. Again they are often voyeuristic but you'll be more expected to join in at a private party, and if you perform for everyone else you'll have to be open to others joining in.
