Bandit, you are full of shit. John Kerry has released all of his military records for public view. None of it is censored or missing like King George's. See for yourself: http://www.johnkerry.com/pressroom/releases/pr_2004_0422c.html As he was about to graduate from Yale, John Kerry volunteered to serve in Vietnam - because, as he later said, "it was the right thing to do." He believed that because he had had a lot of privileges in life - for example, attending a great university like Yale - he had a responsibility to give something back to his country. His two great heroes - his father and John F. Kennedy - had served during World War II. John Kerry wanted to follow both their example and that of some of his best friends, who also went to Vietnam. John Kerry enlisted in the Navy in 1966. After completing Naval Officer Candidates School, he began his first tour of duty on the USS Gridley, a guided-missile frigate in the waters adjacent to Vietnam. In 1968, John Kerry began his second tour of duty, and volunteered to serve on a Swift Boat, one of the most dangerous assignments of the war. Swift Boats patrolled the narrow inlets and canals around the Mekong Delta "to draw fire and smoke out the enemy," according to the The Boston Globe. To the men who served with him, John Kerry was "one of the most daring skippers in the US Navy, relentlessly and courageously engaging the enemy," according to The Boston Globe. William Zaladonis, who served under Kerry on a Swift Boat, said that he was more interested than some other commanding officers in his crewmates' lives, hopes, and dreams. John Kerry put his crewmates at ease, telling them to "call me John - you don't have to call me sir." When "we were out on patrol," Zaladonis recalls, "we were a family." Lt. John Kerry's leadership, courage, and sacrifice earned him a Silver Star, the Navy's fifth highest medal, a Bronze Star with Combat V, and three Purple Hearts, awarded for wounds received in combat. John Kerry was awarded a Bronze Star for rescuing a Green Beret, who had gone overboard during a mission. According to his Bronze Star citation, "Lt. Kerry directed his gunners to provide suppressing fire, while from an exposed position on the bow, his arm bleeding and in pain, with disregard for his personal safety, he pulled the man aboard. Lt. Kerry's calmness, professionalism, and great personal courage under fire were in keeping with the highest traditions of the US Naval Service." John Kerry left Vietnam in 1969. But to this day, he carries with him the lessons he learned while he was there. On that Swift Boat, there were people who came from places as diverse as South Carolina, Iowa, and Arkansas. They were literally all in the same boat and they came together as one. No one asked the others' politics. No one asked where the others came from or who their fathers were or where they went to school. They were simply a band of brothers who all fought under the same flag and all prayed to the same God. And that is the America John Kerry wants today - an America where we all come together to build a better country.
Ok JesusdiedforU, we got your point, but this post isn't supposed to be about Religion abd Believing Jesus, it was supposed to be a joke against the Swift Boat Veterans For Truth, so how about instead of bring up your religions convictions, stay on topic. God, I think its fine to have religious beliefs, but just keep them to yourself, religion should be that of a personal choice, not something you pin on others. Peace and Love, Dan
If Rome is babylon, do you really think that the merchants and sea captins will be saying that there is no one left to sell their goods to. That sounds like a pretty stupid thing to say. Because they could sell their products in Naples just down the coast from Rome. Also Jeremiah 50 states that Babylons enemy will come from the north. If you look on the Globe who is to the north of Rome. We have Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and the North Pole. Which one do you think will destroy Rome. Also the Bible states God will raise up an assembly of great nations from the north country so do you think he ment Norway and Sweden. In Jeremiah 50:32 God states the most proud shall stumble and fall. I never thought of Rome as a proud Nation. Also Jeremiah 51 states that Babylon dwells on many waters. Rome borders the Mediterranean Sea. I don't think you can say that is many waters. Also future Babylon has within here territory her own Sea. Rome does not have a personal sea. Also future Babylon is not just a city but has cities Jer.51:43. Babylon also has a great voice so the other nations take notice. Jer. 51:55. Also Babylon is described not only as a city but as a nation. God sometime speaks of nations as cities for He did this when he spoke of Israel. Also Babylon shall mount up to heaven. Rome has no space program. There is much more that I could say but The enemy of Israel will be the enemy of babylon. America is one of the only countries that support Israel. Believe me the list could go on. The bible clearly states that russia will attack Israel God will not allow it, He will stop Russia. Russia will not think it was God and will attack America. America has the space program, America has the inland Sea, America consumes the lion share of worlds goods, America is built on many waters, America is the nation that speaks with the great voice, America is the nation of great cities, America is the nation that has thousands of Russian missles pointing at her. The bible states that Babylon is a nation of mingled peoples, America is the great melting pot of the world. Jeremiah states that the nations of the world will no longer flow to babylon. America is where the UN building is located, America entertains the nations of the world.
WELL THERE WERE 21 ON HIS BOAT, IF HE WAS SO GOOD WHY DID 17 TURN AGAINST HIM. AND WHY DOES NORTH VIET NAM HAVE A PICTURE OF KERRY HANGING IN THEIR GOVERNMENT BUILDING. I WILL TELL YOU WHY, BECAUSE HE WAS A TRAITOR WHO SERVED 16 WEEKS IN NAM AND THEN CAME BACK AND BAD MOUTHED HIS SHIPMATES, WHILE AMERICANS WERE BEING BEAT UP IN PRISONER OF WAR CAMPS. THE VIET CONG WOULD PLAY RECORDINGS OF KERRY TELL EVERYONE WHAT BUTCHERS AMERICANS WERE. KERRY SHOULD OF PICKED JANE FONDA FOR HIS RUNNING MATE.
Well revelation is only half the story you can't leave out Jer. chap. 50 & 51. Which states that babylon will be built on many waters, she will have a personal sea, she will be a nation of mingled people, she will speak with a great voice, she will be able to mount up into the heavens, she will have a mountain of war, she will have a large Jewish population, because the fear of war many in babylon will have to leave, and the jews will return to Jerusalem. she will have a enemy to her north that will burn all her cities in one hours time. When she is destroyed sea captains and merchants will be saying that there is know one left to buy their goods anymore. The enemy of Israel will be the enemy of Babylon. America & Israel JER(USA)LEM
Seriously, who really gives a fuck about Babylon. This is a political thread, dude. Go back to the Christianity fourm and talk your nonsense there all you like. And I actually give credit to Kerry for actually going to Nam, then coming back and stating his disapproval. He protested what he thought was wrong, along with thousands and thousands of others. But for real guys, you're religion is fine, and I respect your opinion. But don't come here trying to convert everybody to see your ways. Don't even bring it up. You're just as bad as Jehovahs Witnesses.
Okay, first, Revalations is talking about Rome in the time of John. They have many waters, their empire bordered many waters. They also had plenty nations to the north of them. And more north of them than you can consider Russia is to the U.S. Rome spoke with a great voice in John's time. Rome had great cities. Rome even had mingled people, due to their huge expansion. Besides many of these "prophecies" can be interpreted to mean a lot of different countries. That's why prophets were so popular. They are good at making very vague descriptions of the future, so that they are easy to come true. Any tarot reader or psychic uses the same techniques today. "Babylon" is just a culture that can mean any large, powerful country. History repeats itself, you know. The large empires, and the large counteries a lot of the times ebd you being very similar despite the different times in history. Lots of them trade, lots of them have mingled people, lots of them border water, lots of them have mountians even. Lots of them build tall buildings, etc.... Anyway's, what's with all the fundie christians lately? Its like we've been bombarded.
and then That is just funny. Also, you say the people he served with in the few months he was there liked him. Well you see, that is the thing, Vets have come out and said "this isn't true". They must be lieing though huh? All 200 of them. Also , it is pretty easy to get medals when you are the guy that rights the report to get them. The medical vets have said that a flesh wound caused by a grain of rice would not constitute recieving a purple heart. Especialy when they were not in combat when kerry was injured. Kerry often lied on his reports about situations. Turning a "runner" crew of a man, wife, and child into a "supply boat with 5 heavily armed men transporting a ton of food and amunition". The above was mentioned by his gunner on the swift boat. I don't recall his name, but I know what he said. Again, Kerry made his 4 month "tour" the background of his campain. You brought up that Bush has his own "flip flops". That may be so, hell, I know I have my own as well. I will say something, then learn more on the situtation, and then change my mind. The problem with all this in the race is that Kerry's "flip flops" diectly affect our decisions to be able to trust him as a president. Allow me to clerify. The fp's that we see with Kerry involve that wich are issues for the presidency. Such has him saying "go to iraq" then changing his mind, then changing his mind again, over and over. These fp's that your link listed hyave nothing to do with the isues at hand. More over , it is obvious that Bush could feel one way in one second, then learn something relating to the subject and change his mind. Not like Kerry going back and forth over and over again with the issue of going to Iraq. Anyways, it is your turn to show me more biased links that don't back anything up with proof. Your turn to hang your flag next to Kerrys' "tours" lol. Oh, how many tours is in 4 months? Edit: I almost forgot, you see in that pic you posted with Kerry and the others. Notice how he isn't with the other guys? Notice how the other guys have bonded and are close together, where as Kerry is off to the side. Yeah, sure does look like he was cherrished.
I notice the republican assholes don't prove any of their shit. Dozens of screaming republicans have petitioned the U.S. Navy to review Kerry's record and take away his medals. The Navy told them they have and there is nothing wrong with it. This is just another politically motivated investigation. 4 month "tour"?!! More lies and bullshit. If you took the time to even look at John Kerry's record, you would see that he completed two full tours of duty. At that time they were 6 months a tour and he served some of his time from a hospital bed. He still carries shrapnel in his body from enemy fire. You republican assholes are the SCUM OF THE EARTH. Especially when you consider the drunken frat boy you are supporting NEVER WENT TO VIETNAM!! You lie about a man who served more than any of you. http://www.johnkerry.com/about/john_kerry/military_records.html Isn't it ironic that Bush is pushing the National Guard into war in Iraq when while he was in it, he used the National Guard to avoid the war in Vietnam?! http://www.awolbush.com
Don't give us a link to anything the swift boat veterans for truth says, they are already found out to be LIARS! http://www.dailykos.com/story/2004/8/20/14735/6707 http://nytimes.com/imagepages/2004/08/19/politics/campaign/20040820_SWIFT_GRAPH.html http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A13267-2004Aug18.html and i can keep listing.. and as for what you said..up there, that is a lie as well! Which all of this has already been proven if you would read..and it's old news..lets move on but since you insist on being niave then here.. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-040821rood,1,2328121.story?coll=chi-news-hed now, you haveta register to read it..
but i will just paste the full thing here..unless you want to register it, it's yer decision.. This is what I saw that day' By William B. Rood Chicago Tribune Published August 22, 2004 There were three swift boats on the river that day in Vietnam more than 35 years ago--three officers and 15 crew members. Only two of those officers remain to talk about what happened on February 28, 1969. One is John Kerry, the Democratic presidential candidate who won a Silver Star for what happened on that date. I am the other. For years, no one asked about those events. But now they are the focus of skirmishing in a presidential election with a group of swift boat veterans and others contending that Kerry didn't deserve the Silver Star for what he did on that day, or the Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts he was awarded for other actions. Many of us wanted to put it all behind us--the rivers, the ambushes, the killing. Ever since that time, I have refused all requests for interviews about Kerry's service--even those from reporters at the Chicago Tribune, where I work. But Kerry's critics, armed with stories I know to be untrue, have charged that the accounts of what happened were overblown. The critics have taken pains to say they're not trying to cast doubts on the merit of what others did, but their version of events has splashed doubt on all of us. It's gotten harder and harder for those of us who were there to listen to accounts we know to be untrue, especially when they come from people who were not there. Even though Kerry's own crew members have backed him, the attacks have continued, and in recent days Kerry has called me and others who were with him in those days, asking that we go public with our accounts. I can't pretend those calls had no effect on me, but that is not why I am writing this. What matters most to me is that this is hurting crewmen who are not public figures and who deserved to be honored for what they did. My intent is to tell the story here and to never again talk publicly about it. I was part of the operation that led to Kerry's Silver Star. I have no firsthand knowledge of the events that resulted in his winning the Purple Hearts or the Bronze Star. But on Feb. 28, 1969, I was officer in charge of PCF-23, one of three swift boats--including Kerry's PCF-94 and Lt. j.g. Donald Droz's PCF-43--that carried Vietnamese regional and Popular Force troops and a Navy demolition team up the Dong Cung, a narrow tributary of the Bay Hap River, to conduct a sweep in the area. The approach of the noisy 50-foot aluminum boats, each driven by two huge 12-cylinder diesels and loaded down with six crew members, troops and gear, was no secret. Ambushes were a virtual certainty, and that day was no exception. Instructions from Kerry The difference was that Kerry, who had tactical command of that particular operation, had talked to Droz and me beforehand about not responding the way the boats usually did to an ambush. We agreed that if we were not crippled by the initial volley and had a clear fix on the location of the ambush, we would turn directly into it, focusing the boats' twin .50-caliber machine guns on the attackers and beaching the boats. We told our crews about the plan. The Viet Cong in the area had come to expect that the heavily loaded boats would lumber on past an ambush, firing at the entrenched attackers, beaching upstream and putting troops ashore to sweep back down on the ambush site. Often, they were long gone by the time the troops got there. The first time we took fire--the usual rockets and automatic weapons--Kerry ordered a "turn 90" and the three boats roared in on the ambush. It worked. We routed the ambush, killing three of the attackers. The troops, led by an Army adviser, jumped off the boats and began a sweep, which killed another half dozen VC, wounded or captured others and found weapons, blast masks and other supplies used to stage ambushes. Meanwhile, Kerry ordered our boat to head upstream with his, leaving Droz's boat at the first site. It happened again, another ambush. And again, Kerry ordered the turn maneuver, and again it worked. As we headed for the riverbank, I remember seeing a loaded B-40 launcher pointed at the boats. It wasn't fired as two men jumped up from their spider holes. We called Droz's boat up to assist us, and Kerry, followed by one member of his crew, jumped ashore and chased a VC behind a hooch--a thatched hut--maybe 15 yards inland from the ambush site. Some who were there that day recall the man being wounded as he ran. Neither I nor Jerry Leeds, our boat's leading petty officer with whom I've checked my recollection of all these events, recalls that, which is no surprise. Recollections of those who go through experiences like that frequently differ. With our troops involved in the sweep of the first ambush site, Richard Lamberson, a member of my crew, and I also went ashore to search the area. I was checking out the inside of the hooch when I heard gunfire nearby. Not long after that, Kerry returned, reporting that he had killed the man he chased behind the hooch. He also had picked up a loaded B-40 rocket launcher, which we took back to our base in An Thoi after the operation. John O'Neill, author of a highly critical account of Kerry's Vietnam service, describes the man Kerry chased as a "teenager" in a "loincloth." I have no idea how old the gunner Kerry chased that day was, but both Leeds and I recall that he was a grown man, dressed in the kind of garb the VC usually wore. The man Kerry chased was not the "lone" attacker at that site, as O'Neill suggests. There were others who fled. There was also firing from the tree line well behind the spider holes and at one point, from the opposite riverbank as well. It was not the work of just one attacker. Our initial reports of the day's action caused an immediate response from our task force headquarters in Cam Ranh Bay. Congratulatory message Known over radio circuits by the call sign "Latch," then-Capt. and now retired Rear Adm. Roy Hoffmann, the task force commander, fired off a message congratulating the three swift boats, saying at one point that the tactic of charging the ambushes was a "shining example of completely overwhelming the enemy" and that it "may be the most efficacious method of dealing with small numbers of ambushers." Hoffmann has become a leading critic of Kerry's and now says that what the boats did on that day demonstrated Kerry's inclination to be impulsive to a fault. Our decision to use that tactic under the right circumstances was not impulsive but was the result of discussions well beforehand and a mutual agreement of all three boat officers. It was also well within the aggressive tradition that was embraced by the late Adm. Elmo Zumwalt, then commander of U.S. Naval Forces, Vietnam. Months before that day in February, a fellow boat officer, Michael Bernique, was summoned to Saigon to explain to top Navy commanders why he had made an unauthorized run up the Giang Thanh River, which runs along the Vietnam-Cambodia border. Bernique, who speaks French fluently, had been told by a source in Ha Tien at the mouth of the river that a VC tax collector was operating upstream. Ignoring the prohibition against it, Bernique and his crew went upstream and routed the VC, pursuing and killing several. Instead of facing disciplinary action as he had expected, Bernique was given the Silver Star, and Zumwalt ordered other swifts, which had largely patrolled coastal waters, into the rivers. The decision sent a clear message, underscored repeatedly by Hoffmann's congratulatory messages, that aggressive patrolling was expected and that well-timed, if unconventional, tactics like Bernique's were encouraged. What we did on Feb. 28, 1969, was well in line with the tone set by our top commanders. Zumwalt made that clear when he flew down to our base at An Thoi off the southern tip of Vietnam to pin the Silver Star on Kerry and assorted Bronze Stars and commendation medals on the rest of us.
Cont'd Error in citation My Bronze Star citation, signed by Zumwalt, praised the charge tactic we used that day, saying the VC were "caught completely off guard." There's at least one mistake in that citation. It incorrectly identifies the river where the main action occurred, a reminder that such documents were often done in haste and sometimes authored for their signers by staffers. It's a cautionary note for those trying to piece it all together. There's no final authority on something that happened so long ago--not the documents and not even the strained recollections of those of us who were there. But I know that what some people are saying now is wrong. While they mean to hurt Kerry, what they're saying impugns others who are not in the public eye. Men like Larry Lee, who was on our bow with an M-60 machine gun as we charged the riverbank, Kenneth Martin, who was in the .50-caliber gun tub atop our boat, and Benjamin Cueva, our engineman, who was at our aft gun mount suppressing the fire from the opposite bank. Wayne Langhoffer and the other crewmen on Droz's boat went through even worse on April 12, 1969, when they saw Droz killed in a brutal ambush that left PCF-43 an abandoned pile of wreckage on the banks of the Duong Keo River. That was just a few months after the birth of his only child, Tracy. The survivors of all these events are scattered across the country now. Jerry Leeds lives in a tiny Kansas town where he built and sold a successful printing business. He owns a beautiful home with a lawn that sweeps to the edge of a small lake, which he also owns. Every year, flights of purple martins return to the stately birdhouses on the tall poles in his back yard. Cueva, recently retired, has raised three daughters and is beloved by his neighbors for all the years he spent keeping their cars running. Lee is a senior computer programmer in Kentucky, and Lamberson finished a second military career in the Army. With the debate over that long-ago day in February, they're all living that war another time. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-040821rood,1,2328121.story?coll=chi-news-hed
Listen to the peanut gallery. InagadavaD00doo parrots what a bunch of paid republican, lying, whores say. 4 month "tour"?!! If you bothered to look at his DD 214 you would know that he served in Vietnam for one year, seven months. InagadavaD00doo, do know what a DD 214 is? http://www.johnkerry.com/pdf/jkmilservice/DD214.pdf More lies and bullshit. By the way, the medals that Kerry threw out into the protest crowds are contested by the republican Swift Boat Liars because they are part of John Kerry's permanent military record. Is there anything else that I need to explain to you sweet heart? According to InagadavaD00doo's logic, if I got a dozen republicans to swear that she is a two bit tramp who will screw a dog IT MUST BE TRUE!!! http://www.johnkerry.com/about/john_kerry/military_records.html Isn't it ironic that Bush is pushing the National Guard into war in Iraq when while he was in it, he used the National Guard to avoid the war in Vietnam?! http://www.awolbush.com
Listen to the peanut gallery. InagadavaD00doo parrots what a bunch of paid republican, lying, whores say. So you answered my question. Like most 18 year old girls, you don't know what a DD 214 is and you never served in the military. According to InagadavaD00doo's logic, if I got a dozen republicans to swear that she is a two bit tramp who will screw a dog IT MUST BE TRUE!!! My name is InagadavaD00doo and I repeat everything the republicans say! cccrrrock......
As i said before..STOP trying to feed us the Swift Boat liars bullshit..and for the rest of yer story.. http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/09/18/kerry.medals.ap/index.html Read that, it is in black and white from CNN news not from some swift boat liars website..
