I missed the Pistons basketball game tonight. They won. Forcing a game 6... I wish the Pistons would stop fucking around though...I mean, for christ's sake, just win the first four games and stop fucking with our heads. This lose one, win one, lose two, win one crap is for the birds. Any predictions?
I am not much in to basketball or the pistons anymore. (was my ex's favorite team) I use to love the pistons when mahorn, rodman and dammit, i forgot the other guys name, he always use to lay down on the sidelines. This is like the real old school team, I think it was like 13 or so years ago. (damn, that made me sound really old) Good luck to the Pistons.
I never watch sports...unless a Detroit team is in the playoffs...or unless it's Tigers baseball (which, by the way, is shockingly good this year)...Detroit doesn't have much to be proud of, so it's kind of exciting when we DO have something to be proud of...even if it is just sports.
haha, yup Detroit is definately in its own league. Do they still have the real bad devils night? God my ex would tell me some really bad stories bout that night.
They put EVERY SINGLE cop out on that night now...well...for the past five or six years they have...and they have a group of citizens that also monitor the city. That's not to say that there aren't TONS of arsons and robberies still, but the stastics aren't any different than any other night, now.
I am sure my ex did his fair share of mischief when he was younger, his family was down in the polish part of town. I have heard that detroit is quite the mess anymore. It is a sad thing when cities end up like that.
Doesn't help that they keep a mayor in power that extorts money and lies to the public...but I guess it represents the city pretty well I would never go to Detroit alone...especially at night. The last time I did, I was almost mugged and raped...it was pretty freaky. I had parked in a casino parking structure and was meeting my brother and sister in law at a Tigers' game. The park is just 1 mile away from the casino and I had about ten strangers walking unusually close to me, or asking me to come over to them so they can touch my hair (strange older men). I even had a homeless guy try to lift up my skirt. *shudders* Haven't been to Detroit, alone, since.
