of course they arn't going to do the beating and all that with you standing right there dammit... they could get sued if you saw them. and I know from a lot of reading and researching.
it is a bad situation... and what aspects are those??? I'm just asking if you were in their shoes what would you think how would you feel? Would you just let them beat you?? and nobody sticking up for it... would you let them abuse you?? I mean come on...
Brave Sir Rubin, I agree with your statement about sweatshops boosting the economy and providing jobs to those who would otherwise be jobless, but none of you who felt that way seemed to consider the ethical issues of swatshops. You might have been to one and have seen them first hand, but the truth is that it is an exploitation of human beings.
well I didn't know YOU worked in one... maybe it isn't in ALL sweatshops.. but it does happen in a lot of them.. and don't you ever call me an amarican again.. I'm not.. I'm canadian
Is there any way to really KNOW which brands exploit people in their sweatshops and which don't? I don't support child labor at all, but adults are different. How does anyone know they aren't happy with their wages, or mistreated? That's not to say they aren't, but how can anyone find out?
well probably adults get mistreated too... I was just pointing out the child labour.. But sure adults can be mistreated as well as children
And you know all this because you physically walked through a sweat shop and witnessed everything you just typed with your own two eyes? I didn't think so. As for your "reasearch" I'm fairly certain they streched the truth just a little bit.
fuck! yes their has been private investigation in some of the places and their has been evidence on some of the people that have worked there... You probably just don't know a lot about child labour! Sure I havent seen it with my own to eyes.. but I have done a lot of reasearch an many projects on it. Why the fuck would they strech the truth a little too far.. I'm sure you know a whole lot about chold labour *sarcastic*... You should try getting out of your close-minded head once in a while.
YEAH! I wear "sweatshop clothes!!!", I love'em...I know that in a roundabout way I am supporting some underpriviledged family. HOOOORRAAAYY for "sweatshop clothes"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You blow my mind. You don't think if the huge corporations that run sweat shop's paid its workers american minimum wage we wouldn't make their lives a little better? Of course it would, but they wouldn't be making their wallets as fat so they could care less.
