Surveys suggest most women orgasm by penetration without simultaneous clitoral stimulation

That most women don't orgasm by penetration is a myth spread all over the internet. In the biggest scientific survey (IFOP) ever conducted where they distinguish between orgasm by penetration and penetration with clitoral stroking, 68% of the 8000 women reach orgasm at least "somewhat easily" by penetration without stroking the clitoris.

IFOP is an international polling and market research firm. While it also shows 59% of those who have had anal sex has also orgasmed from it, but they don’t have separate questions here for with or without clitoral stimulation. In other words, this high number surely includes clitoral stimulation.

In the DocDroid document below, I compare other questions in IFOP's study with other studies, how many have ever masturbated, had an orgasm etc. The numbers agree quite well with other studies, suggesting IFOP is indeed reliable and have not found a sample that is abnormal. This is not the only study showing most orgasm by penetration alone. This does not mean most women orgasm most of the time, likely due to the man often climaxes before, distraction, lack of foreplay etc.

As a male, I would think as long as they orgasm the how is less important.

My wife, and former wife were in the clit group. My vague memory is most women before were also and principle way was through oral though I didn't do a survey or keep count.

 

I think that is accurate. Especially when I'm having sex with a guy for the first time, after some heavy foreplay I'll orgasm soon after penetration. I guess spending the entire evening at dinner and the movie fantasizing about having him inside me, when it finally happens it doesn't take much!

 

After a night like that, some guy might not even make it to penetration.
