Good luck and it seems like you are doing the right thing by talking to your doctor. My experience is that I had a very severe shoulder injury from a hit and run 3 years ago, I told my doctor about my alcoholism history and my concern about taking pain killers. He replied...with your injury you are not going to make thru post surgery if you don’t take a pain killer. He monitored me thru reducing the dose to zero in 3 mos.
That’s really good too hear I just don’t want my heart too start racing and being drugged up freaking out
They gave me that after both of my children were born. My dad had bad reactions to Morphine so I can imagine what you mean.
Wow well I have chronic respiratory failure 2 collapse lungs that will never heal the surgeon concerns that I would not be able too come off the ventilator be on rest of my life but lung doc said I would be fine
Your right I just want this too be over with for sec I thought I need too call my dad but remember he is gone
I had a big incision from my Appendix. I got Demerol shots in the hospital, I think; and went home with prescription of Lortab for that pain.
That's hard to get use to. It took forever for me to get over wanting to call my mom when important things happened. It's normal.
