The American Constitution means absolutely nothing to me. I don't give a fiddler's fart about what it contains and how people interpret it. It seems like Americans are always falling in on top of themselves fighting over what it means, like passages of the Bible because to me they are both archaic, slow, inflexible, rigid, outdated and regressive and I think it needs to be ripped apart and burned.

 

Did you miss the part about i don't even care if he's been elected, OTHER than the problems it will cause when he is unmasked. (That's why i was deliberately rude about him, above.)

i guess i don't get it ~

On the one hand, you're bummed out 'cuz of all the rights the Bush admin has taken away from you;

but on the other hand, you're ready, willing and able to just fluff off some pretty important laws that were built into our Constitution to provide the checks and balances that a true democracy requires.

 

He says that he is black. It's like if my parents were Irish and British. I'm allowed to call myself Irish if I identify with that nation.

But since being black simply involves the amount of melanin in the skin, Obama's black. Since there is no such thing as "mulatto" in the little race category to tick off in any US government census information sheets and citizen information forms, he ticks off the "black" box.

 

No offense, but George W Bush has fucked over the American Constitution so many times in his presidency that's is extremely shocking that people are out there trying to sabotage Obama as being "undemocratically" elected when Dubbya fixed his own fuckin' federal elections and won the title as Prez unfairly.

There is NO substantial proof that Obama is not a natural born citizen. If there is SUBSTANTIAL proof beyond speculation, show me.

The birth certificate that was online WAS a forgery, and NO true evidence has been offered; quite the contrary ~ Obama has spent over $800,000 to keep the $10 certified copy of his birth certificate a secret.

But I'm amused that you brought up Canadian Healthcare, and the Canadian Dollar in a thread about Obama's birth certificate.

My point is that our Constitution made this country great, and Canada ended up being the "little sister/brother," tagging along on America's coattails, as it were.

Bottom line is that the U.S. can make or break Canada (think about what happened in y'all's logging industry, as an example ~ we quit building houses, and your citizens lost their jobs within a WEEK ); Canada, on the other hand, can't really do a damned thing to the U.S., since we don't depend on y'all for anything. (fyi ~ the state of Texas is the eighth largest economy in the world, followed by Canada, at number 9)

That being the case, it truly doesn't make any difference how you feel about our Constitution, but i'm getting a little tired of some of y'all slamming anything American ~ our Constitution sux; Bush sux; our bankers suck; our laws suck; our entire government sux; so on and so forth.

It's rude, and accomplishes nothing, other than making the other party think that folks from your country are a bit assinine.

I would love to see your source on this because I'd bet money right now that if you didn't just pull it out of your ass, it came out of Texas A&M. Texans have a mighty high opinion of themselves, unjustifiably so. I've lived in San Antonio, San Angelo, and DFW and have spent many lovely visits in Midland, Austin and Corpus Christi. Lots of nice places in TX but overall it's a shithole version of Kentucky Fried Chicken: too many right wings and a soup of assholes. According to 2006 GDP figures, Texas ranked 15th in the world (second in the US) where Canada ranked 7th. With world economies slipping and sliding, these are the latest RELIABLE figures and they are only cursory. Texas is also dominated by petrochemical and biomedical industries, meaning they are in the top 10 pollution producing states in the nation according to 2007 EPA reports. Something to be proud of. Post a source or stop posting made up shit.
