Honestly, I'm surprised that it took this long.

Social conservatives will be livid for a while.

In California, the weddings have (re) started!
My niece announced her engagement to her partner.
Pride will be a blast this year, no?

(If you are in San Diego, look for the GLASS float and booth. It's a gay/lesbian association of sailors and soldiers! Tell Ann hello from Robyn)

I wonder how the media will react when two brothers want to get married and there's no law prohibiting it. What do you think?

By your logic, because heterosexual marriage is the norm, nothing is preventing brother from marrying sister. What do you think?

Oh, no, I think that incest rules would apply to brother and sister, but maybe not two brothers. There would be no chance of offspring and in our new world, love is pretty much the only thing that matters, right?

The world is going to be overpopulated by humans before too long.

The rest of your premise doesn't even warrant a response.

    Peace.

What do you mean? You think there's no chance at all of two brothers wanting to get married?

A moot point, but it is already overpopulated.

Are you just trolling, or are you legitimately attempting to play Devil's Advocate here?

Overpopulated in what sense? Land? Consumption of natural resources?

In my opinion, humanity is on the very brink.

I'm not trolling and I don't understand your reaction. This is something I've wondered about for a long time. I'm not making any judgement. I am simply asking, what do you think will be the reaction the first time two brothers say they want to get married? I personally think there will be widespread outrage, but maybe I'm wrong.

The reaction will simply be the same as if a brother and sister were asking to legally marry. Logically, there is no difference between the two scenarios despite the irrelevant pregnancy angle you dragged into it.

Basically, the majority was adhering to the constitution and the minority--the conservatives, were ,as usual, adhering to their tried and true principle of forcing their religious beliefs on others, whether wanted or not. It's getting harder to control people and they don't like it. Furthermore, the charlatans that make money off the lost souls on sundays, damn sure ought to start paying taxes like other businesses.

I think there's one huge difference, but I could be wrong. Incest laws would prevent a brother and sister from getting married, but I can think of nothing that would prevent two brothers in a state with gay marriage. So, in one case, it couldn't happen and there would be no uproar, but in the other case ...

I find it to be amusing that many conservatives are so adamant about the legal language of the second amendment, yet they want to legislate their religious beliefs into law (first amendment).

    "Can you legislate morality?"

The 'pregnancy angle' as you say is the reason why incest became taboo in the first place, so you can't dismiss it as irrelevant.
