"The US had links and connections with terrorists groups in the past, should the US be attacked?!"[/QUOTE] Very Nice Man. :sunglasse
In this debate it has no relevance. You were the one that brought up Iraq having nothing to do with bin Laden, and how Saddam and bin Laden hated each other. We were attacked. It is easy to read a headline off the internet or in a newspaper and make your final decison on an issue. Somebody reads the headline "Case for war a lie: Iraq has no known ties to al-Qaeda." Most people would simply read this and regurgitate the intended message of the title, which is that the Bush Administration lied about Iraq and al-Qaeda. I have had arguments with people that have used this headline example. I ask them to read between the lines. Adding the simple word "known" tells the intuitive reader that there is no rock solid evidence that Iraq has ties to al-Qaeda. Does this rule out the possiblity? Absolutely not. The point is that just by reading a headline at first glance does not make something true. We cannot accurately say that Iraq had no ties to al-Qaeda because we don't have enough evidence to substantiate that claim. All we have is fragments of intelligence that suggests that meetings took place and there were possible deals struck.

Well there is definitely a conspiracy at work because I never received a single one of them. Damn Royal Mail.
Well you also need to look ar BOTH sides of the arguement.. All my sources can be 'backed up' .. yours even 'backed up' my point.. I am interested i have investigated and i have verified as best as can be what i think and info that has informed my POV... I am with you all the way on these points.. but you have the arrogance to believe that you are 100% correct... You can't have a POV in a vacume.. You have to air it and share them.. and retract stuff that is not true... Come 3 months time nothing that contradicts or has been proven to be untrue in your POV will be seen in your POV imho..
Just kidding. I figured somebody would ask. I will give you as much as I can without spending too much time on it because I know it won't make a shittin bit of difference, because nobody could possible be as bad as big ol' USA. Palestinian Liberation Front- On March 10 2002, Tariq Aziz held a meeting with various Arab politicians and businessmen in Baghdad. During this meeting Aziz made an announcement to one of the guests named Faroq al-Kaddoumi, the head of the Palestinian political office. Aziz said that President Hussein has made the decision to raise the sum granted to each family of the Palestinian martyrs to $25,000 up from $10,000. Reuters reporters covered this meeting and was published through major news outlets on March 11. A week earlier Saddam said on Iraqi TV that "We are glad of the Istishhadiyyah (suicide)". The man who was responsible for the transfer of funds was Saddams vice president, Taha Yassin Ramadan. Documents captured in the Palestinian town of Ramallah indicate that President Ramadan used the Arab Liberation Front, the Palestinian Liberation Front, and the Paelestian branch of the Iraqi Baathist party of pass these funds into the hands of the terrorists' families. Here is a copy of a deposited check that was recovered through the Palestine Investment Bank. I'm not going to waste my time tallying the death toll resulting from these sucide bombings and unless you've been living in a cave or do not have access to tv, newspaper, radio, or periodicals you should be somewhat familiar with the situation.
Here is a shot of the "certificate of merit" that was given to the families along with the $25000 check. The victims families received a "certificate of death", but no check.
I am sure you are familiar with the hijacking of the Achille Lauro? This was the cruise ship that was hijacked with the infamous victim Leon Klinghoffer. Klinghoffer was a handicapped 69 year old man who was shot in the head and pushed off the side of the ship while still in his wheelchair. The man behind this hijacking was a former secretary general of the Palestine Liberation Front named Abu Abbas. The hijackers of the ship surrendered to Egyptian authorities in exchange for safe passage to Tunisia. Abbas joined them on the flight aboard an Egypt Air jet. Four U.S. fighter planes forced the airliner to land at a NATO base in Sicily where Italian officials took the hijackers into custody. Abbas was a holder of an Iraqi diplomatic passport, and because so, the plane was considered covered by diplomatic immunity and extra-territorial status in the air and on the ground. Here is a picture of Klinghoffer with his wife, who witnessed the cold blooded murder and merciless disposal of the body.
so what are you saying? i might have met osamas driver in a coffe shop am i now a terrorist ? will you now attack my neiborhood to get me?
The man in the picture is Hisham al Hussein, a former Iraqi secretary at Iraq's embassy in Manila Phillippines. On February 13, 2003 the Philippine government expelled Hussein after cell phone intercepts and record indicate he was speaking with Abu Madja and Hamsiraji, two leaders of Abu Sayyaf (al-Qaeda's Philippine brach). This timing was particularly suspicious as he had been in contact with Abu Sayyaf terrorists just before and after they conducted an attack in Zamboanga City. Maybe they were just friends and this is just a coincidence. Do you think?
