Thanks so much; I try never to make promises I cannot keep. This one needed help frofrom you and brother Zen, but will be kept for as long as I and the forums here survive. I am grateful to have found my way home.
It is pretty easy to do that. All you really need is a debit card or charge card to put money into it, then take it out when people give it to you! They do charge a small fee, but they are really secure and I've not ever had a problem with them over many years. I opened a PayPal account back in 2005 or so... when they first started up through ebay.
You don't have to actually put money into an account to start it... just set it up and put out that cosmic vibe... money may just appear there!
I linked my debit card with PayPal but didn't get a number to put in when I want to pay a bill. How do you do that? I really am dense concerning this sort of thing.
I can tell you what it is, but as to how it works, not sure. I only went there so I could contribute here. As soon as I do that, I'll ditch them and just use my debit card, which I am used to! It's an online account you link your bank account or debit card to, after which you can pay bills and buy stuff online with it.
You know what Irm. I was thinking the same, but I didn’t like to say. I mean journalists get paid very good money, and I feel like one of them most of the time on here. Perhaps a charge of a Dollar a post would be very reasonable? Cheers Zen!
@Angelmama don't worry about it... I have given you the badge already in appreciation of your being with us since the beginning. So if that's all you wanted to do with it, don't stress, and cancel it or forget about it... Life carries on, the New Year begins! Many thanks for your spirit
Thanks so much! I didn't expect that. I'm just so happy to have found my way back. I heard that Hippiehillbilly hadn't been seen in 10 years. How about dilligaf, Sam, and MattInVegas? Those are a few of the names I remember but haven't seen since I got home.
Me too. I think about them a lot. Especially Hippiehillbilly, who sent me a bus ticket to go down to his forums gathering back in 1998, I think it was.
Matt in Vegas passed on. He was a good guy and I think that he even bought a computer for another member that has been gone now for a long time.
I'm so sorry to hear it. Matt was a good, fine, and incredibly generous soul. He once sent me flowers for no reason except he loved me. I've thought of him often through the years. I used to send him cookies, but in the fire that took our cabin, lost his address. He was a beautiful person.
