I've been in denial about my receding hair line for a couple years now. I probably lost 10-15% of it so far. My family and my barber doesn't seem to notice it when I point it out to them (yet). I would try Minoxidil (Rogaine) as a last resort, but I don't think I'm quite ready for that kind of commitment. Are there any vitamins or supplements to help strengthen hair growth and keep from furthering hair loss?
2 uncles and 1 cousin. My 2 grandfathers had distinctly less hair by their mid 70s. My father still has a full head of hair though as do the rest of the men.
It's possible. Her side of the family mostly consists of women though so it's tough to tell. Her dad and brother lost their hair. I have 3 male cousins from her side who still have their hair last time I checked (haven't looked closely though)
It appears he has skipped my contribution and will continue to thin until he is at a norwood 4. Then maybe he will try it.
I didn't skip the contribution, I wasn't sure if it commanded a response. lol. What biotin supplement do you suggest?
I Have Been Using 2 Hair Growth And Thickness Medications For About 2 Years....... (1)...Biotin 3mg 3 Times Daily For Hair Growth And Thickness. (2)...Propecea 2.5 mg For Male Pattern Baldness, This Is Working Well And Has Covered Up My Bald Spot......BUT......Be Warned, There Can Be Nasty Side Effects To Your "Love Life". There Are Some Doctors Here That Will Not Prescribe It. My Pharmacist Tells Me There Are Men As Young As 20 Using It. It First Was Developed In 1979 To Treat Prostitis And They Discovered A Side Effect Was To Reverse Male Pattern Baldness. Last Year Sales Of The Drug In The US Topped $997.00 Million Dollars With Only 150 Law Suits Filed Against The Company. Weigh Up The Odds, I Did, And Have No Regrets.... :afro: Cheers Glen.
