Congrats on the sprout man! Looks nice and healthy! This is a crucial time for her ;), so be sure not to over or under water! And NO nutes! Also, what are you going to do for a light cycle? I would suggest atleast a week or two of 24/0 then switch to 18/6 or 12/12. The full 24 hr light cycle for the first week or two really seems to help the little gals get a good start. But of course you can do it however you want, thats just my 2 cents. Otherwise keep doing what your doing, can't wait to see this gal grow up!

Hey Maniac, always glad to hear from you bro! Yes it is hard to get watering just right =P I check regularly to make sure soil isnt too dry then water just enough so its moist then check a little later again. The two pot leafs are allready bigger than the two seed leaves so I guess I'm doing somthing right =) And are plan is 24/0 lighting untill it hits top of grow box in its big soil pot then LST it and then once ready to bud go 12/12 then for flowering 0/24. Got this light schedule from another growing forum from a guy growing in a slightly bigger box than me but with CFL's, will this schedule work? If not what do you recommend? Thanks for the input! Happy growing!

Hey dude here is what i would do for a lighting schedule

    Week 1 - 24hrs ON, 0hrs OFF
    Week 2 - 24hrs ON, 0hrs OFF
    Week 3 - 18hrs ON, 6hrs OFF

Then on week 4 set your timer to 12hrs ON, 12hrs OFF. Leave it at that until the day you harvest. I don't know why that guy said to go 0/24..........that would be 24hrs of darkness......

Hmm, well, your the pro here man so I'm gonna go with your lighting schedule. Kinda sucks though, when I saw the no light for flowering I was happy cause I am having serious problems finding a 2100K CFL (or anything close) 6500K's like the two I have are all over (Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Target, etc . . .) do I have to go to a grow shop to buy the 2100K's? Or is there a store I missed? And thanks for the lighting schedule, happy I found out for sure before I killed my plant in flowering (that would have really sucked . . .) Well thanks for replying and all your help! Happy growing!

Hey temp, I have a total of 3 computer fans running in my grow box. They are all 12V fans and the air intake and exhaust are both wired to a phone recharger but not a cell phone one. Its for a wireless phone stand, and then the fan blowing on the lights is running at about half speed cause I have it hooked up to a regular cell-phone recharger. Really simply done, just cut off their normal ends, strip the plastic coating off, do same for fans, red to red black to black, and your done. Some fans have a third wire that usually goes with the red (power) wire. And the fans with lights have a few extra wires, depends on how the lights work, I usually cut those. And now I have a question for you, how big is your shoebox? Hope I answered your question. Happy growing!

yea i think its registering it makes sense ive got a cell charger here n it says 5-7volts is that y urs is running at half speed? would any 12v or less adapter work if i jus stripped the ends an plumbed it in? i jus dont want 2 set fire 2 anything :S and 2 answer ur q my box is 13"x4 1/2"x8" its tiny i kno but im curious and the materials r pretty darn inexpensive.

    2 x cfl's
    2/3 comp fans
    a shoebox
an a ball of string :)

im not going 4 great results just a.............i wonder how much i could get out:D

    green thumbs bud temp :)

Ok temp, I hear ya now. Ya if the voltage is equal to or less than the voltage of the fan it will work with no fire hazards, its the other way that shorts ur fan and is a possible fire hazard. So yes any 12V adapter or less 'should' work on the fan, just make sure you check the fans voltage first. And just as a sort of heads up, if I read the dimensions correctly (13" long X 4 1/2" tall X 8" wide) You will be hard pressed to grow if you are doing it the way I am thinking, the lid of the shoebox will be the lid of the grow box? (the top)? Cause the CFL's I use (26W 6500K) both are about 3 inches wide . . . leaves 1 1/2 for the plant, so I'm not positive if this is going to work, but one never knows, people rip on CPU case grows a lot, and I have seen those work quite nicely, sometimes producing 14g, no clue how much you would get out of a shoebox, keep me posted though I wanna know if it works out. Happy growing.

P.S. Going to post pics of little girl below this post, have to upload them first.

Crap! I put plant into new pot and had been neglecting watering (starting to droop a lot) it hadnt even missed two waterings (I was watering 2-3 times a day but small amounts) and when I went back to look at plant and check up on her, the box was almost 100 degrees and one of the bigger pot leaves was curling! So i moved plant away from light, unscrewed one of the CFLs and it dropped back down to 80 degrees and I watered her. Gonna post pics below, i REALLY hope she can be saved =(

Pics would really help right now, ill be able to lend some advice when i see pics. Also, on your watering, it's not very good to water multiple times a day......even if it is in small increments. It is best to thoroughly water the soil once every few days (3-4 days). The little gals like the soil to dry out a bit before getting another water. Plus, this encourages root growth as the roots will grow and stretch to find water. Im not saying let them get bone dry or anything, but you have to space out your waterings in days, not hours ;)
