Yup, I was figuring that would be the response. So I just now planted it and headed hear to update ya'll. Now I have two humidity domes both just sitting in their permenant pots (no dirt just sitting there for space) planted the plant that was in the paper towels a little bit deeper than the one that went straight into dirt. I still think the one from paper towels will sprout faster though =) We shall see, stick around to see pics of them once sprouted (as soon as I see they have, pics shall be taken!) Happy growing!

yup, just watered them and gave them some nice fresh air for a few mins, then back into the grow box. Hoping to see some above soil activity tonight (think its still too soon though) But this does rais a questoin for me, does moving the seed into soil for first time stunt its growth at all? Happy growing!

Well, neither one has sprouted yet. Allthough I'm not horribly worried about the seed that was germinated in paper towels I am worried about the one that was put straight into soil about 1/2 inch down. It has not popped up yet, I believe it should have, its been well over 3 days now . . . hopefully it sprouts very soon. Stick around to find out! Happy Growing!

3 days the seed in the wet towels should have already broken,, you must have old or bad seeds.

Bad news guys, I'm definetelly abandoning humidity dome thing . . . . . . . . . . . decided it had been way too long, dug up both seeds, one that was first planted in himidity dome to germinate had broken open and that was it, other one that was in paper towels to germinate had broken off of its tap root. I also noticed in digging that the soil was totally soaked, the pads under the humidity domes were wet too but not much. Either holes are too small, over watering, somthing like that, no clue. Gonna put a lot more holes in them where soil goes, put fresh soil in again, plant one seed in each, no humidity dome this time and go from there (I got farther on first grow in a CPU case . . . ) . . . . s i g h . . . oh well, stick around to see if i screw up again guys! Happy growing!

Ok just finally screwed other 26W CFL into lighting fixture and my temp spiked to around 95 degrees. Will installing a third fan inside grow box to blow on CFL's with other two fans as one intake at bottom and one vent at top? I was running at around 85 steady untill other CFL went in. Hopefully the girls sprout tomorrow!

Can't wait to see some pics. To answer your question, if you add another fan to blow on the cfl's it will bring the temps down abit.

Hmm, alright I was planning on setting that up tonight if I don't fall asleep studying for exams first lol, oh and also, should I move the pots up to within like 3 inchs from light so if they sprout they are about 2inch away? Or will they not stretch much in the first like 7 hours after sprouting? Thanks for visiting and all your help Maniac. Happy growing.

Oh and also the box has been running a steady 95 degrees I'm going to install two CPU fans hopefully, one blowing across soil of pots and other blowing on lights, hoping to reduce heat down to around 85 think that will do it? Thanks again for checking my thread out Maniac.

Yea you could move the pots alittle closer........just be sure its not so close that the lights are cooking the soil. Heat helps with germination, but too much heat will cook the little taproot. I would get them fans in there ASAP. 95F is just too hot. try to get it to around 80-85F, then when growth starts.....75-80F would be ideal.

Actually on second thought, I just unscrewed one of the CFLs cause I have some semester exams tomorrow and have some more studying to do, when I get home I'll hook up a circulation fan, a fan for the lights, and another exhaust possibly to maintain the negative air flow. Happy growing!

Ok just got home, and am VERY happy to say one of the little girls is attempting to sprout (just a stem sticking out of soil then back in) should pop full out within a few hours. I believe the other seed was bad (pretty yellowish-green seed) so will dig it up tonight and throw it away and probably just try and grow this one plant cause I have heard that you 'should' have 7,000 - 10,000 lumens per sq. foot, I have an 18" X 10" box with 3,200 lumens . . . a 'little' bit under . . . so hoping this one plant will grow and enjoy the LST and such. Thinking about mounting an 18" Floro on the side of box to get all the nooks and cranies of the plant. Happy growing stick around to see little sprout tonight probably!

Already have a few pics of little sprout, hard to get a good one (cup half full of soil and it just barely out of soil) I can already see the first two seed leafs and little tips of pot leafs, its slowly turning up towards the CFLs which it is now about 3 1/2 in away from with a fan blowing on them. Tonight I'll water the little girl (hopefully!) and take some pics of her all nice and straight up! Happy growing!

Finally I got to take some pics of the little sprout! The first pic is right after it dug its way out of soil (took with phone so horrible quality) other one was about 24 hours later once it had turned its head up and I took that photo with a digital camera so much better quality. I love how nice and green she is right now =) Well enough chit chat, on with the pics!

    Just sprouted . . .
