Seems to be an independent production with Spurlock as the writer / director / producer, costing a minimal amount to make (~$300,000). It's made millions in the States alone, so I imagine he's done pretty well out of it. Why do you ask?
Just wondering thats all.. It is Mr Moore i want to become a pennyless bum roaming the gutters... not Mr Spurlock.
That seems rather mean spirited There are some film makers I don't think should be as successful as they are, but I'm not sure I wish homelessness on any of them ... not even Spielberg Well, maybe Spielberg!
What is wrong with the maker of this film making money from it? Matt, do you make money from your job? There are a lot more awful things one can do to make money than to show people things this movie did. (Adn considering you agree that this food is awful stuff.) And beleive me, most Americans who saw this movie DID learn something. You may know a lot about nutrition, and that is good, but most people don't. This movie may well have started some food for thought for some people who may never have put thought into what they put into their bodies before.
Yeah i do make a wage..of course (not much though ). I agree the food is awful in the amounts he was eating.. but i don't think people eating in such a way forgot to notice they were probably not fitting into there trousers any more. The 'ignorance' some people delude themselves with to justify shoving large amounts of crap into there mouths is outstanding. Plus it is not just 'cheap' food that will do such damage either. If he went into any food establishment and ate like like a orca whale he would be feeling prety bad after a while. I understand he had to have a platform to highlight other things..it was just a bit simplistic to pick on Mcdonalds. It probably works diffrent in america i don't know .. and i understand america is vastly bigger and you need a bigger medium to get a message across.. but it just seemed like a bit of a waste. What are most people talking about ? McDonalds and how awful the place is.. Is it !. Well it gives the customer what it wants, and the commonly held beliefs continue to hold strong, even if a lot of it is slightly outdated. It was merely pandering to the audience, so people could blame them rather than themselves. ok rant over :&
Maybe a little.. i don't realy wish homelesness on anyone having been on the brink of it myself.. Don't go calling Dok' as to prove how my comment perputates this or that please .. Seriously i just wondered what he did with the money thats all, no hidden agenda in my thinking or anything.
it made me want mcdonalds... mmm... now i want mcdonalds.. not that i eat much food from there.. but still lol mm mcdonalds
