I found other venues. Not sure what 'pissing off' means. It's not a common expression where I'm from.
I believe "pissing off," became popular in Britain in the late 80's, it's analogous to Leaving some place, or going away. After living up and down California from San Diego to Santa Barbara and points in between, (LA, Palmdale, San Jose, Fresno) I finally dropped anchor in the San Joaquin valley. I actually found the old Dial-Up Bulletin Board systems a lot more fun. Since you were mostly local to the board you logged onto, you could attend meetups weekly with the people you chatted with. Got more intimate and had closer relations.
