Most of the Blue Laws in Massachusetts were ruled unconstitutional and are no longer enforced. The only Blue Laws they still enforce are on Liquor Stores, they can’t open until 10:00 am on Sunday. Even in that area progress has been made because they used to open up at 12;00 noon on Sunday's, so there was a huge rush on beer every Sunday just prior to the Patriot's games which start at 1;00 pm.
We are also dry up until 10am Sunday except the pubs are open but not if you want to buy drinks to take away it's the worst on Easter weekend because they don't open you really need to plan lol. Cause if you don't you're shit outta luck, unless you know the convenient store owner. >. > he's helped me out in the storeroom a secret purchase.
Sunday is supposed to be one of my days off but everything is all fucked up at work right now so I had ot fucking work the past few sundays what the FUCK!!!
I lived just outside of Irwin... Graduated from Hempfield Area HS in 1975. Greengate Mall was a local hangout.
Damn, MeAgain makes me nostalgic for 1970s America (and ive never even been there... physically ) Now the towns where stores are closed sundays are the quirky ones. There still are some though. I don't mind if they're closed at all. The exception of course should be restaurants and the chippies.
