Actually most of our summer is hot and humid like this. We go from extreme cold to high heat in a very short time. But compared to winter, it's welcome. It would be nice to live somewhere more temperate though. Warmer (and shorter!) winters and cooler (and longer) summers.

Gorgeous pics, Mally! I'm late in telling you the plants are Sea Holly (botanical name Eryngium, you may see it as that as well). The blue bracts are their main attraction, the actual flower (thistle part) isn't much to look at.
One of the flower displays at the park. They change them every year. I like the combo of Black-Eyed Susans and the Taro in the middle.
It was a glorious day today. The lake was glistening and the temperature was perfect, hot in the sun but cool in the shade, low humidity with a nice breeze. This guy was chowing down on something he caught in the lake. I can't tell if it's a fish or a piece of garbage. These guys aren't too picky.
