Hi guys... Its been a while but I'm after some advice and potential contacts. The end of the year and this new year has seen a lot of changes for me...in the best ways possible. There has been loss and hurt in many ways and it's been tough. I've had good friends, family and others I've met who didn't know what they did to help, support me through. ... But things are looking up... I hope. I applied and have been accepted for something I've always wanted to do.... Summer camp in America, hopefully with a select group of children. I am in the early stages and yet to find out exactly where the camp will be based. I have never travelled and have no idea where to start...So any kind of assistance would be appriciated. There are 30 days after camp finishes that I can use to explore the USA... Can anyone recommend places to go or see. I'm not bothered about staying in fancy places, I'm happy to slum it and live in the wild I'm very nervous about going as I will be alone, but excited at the same time. Any help, recommendations or potential contacts would be fab.
Wherever I go I like to visit the local nude beach, Black's Beach in San Diego is on my bucket list. Haulover beach Miami also sounds like a great spot.
Thanks.... Small world ey! Well kind of, I looked at the satellite veiw, it's massive and the lake I'm working at is huge! Little freaked out to be honest
I live in California; so that's one recommendation from me. You could go to Hollywood, but it's not actually that cool; just nice to say you've been there. I have been though to Palm Springs, which is warm and wonderful. Arizona is interesting. Las Vegas, NV is also just wonderful. I'd also recommend Seattle, WA and San Francisco, CA. And the sequoia forest! Sequoia National Park. And Joshua Tree National Park, but only if you're into the outdoors; otherwise you can probably get by on a picture of Joshua Tree. But yeah... Vegas is interesting. Go there. Or not. There are pretty cool museums in southern California, but right now everything's closed. I was discussing this with my significant other who hails from Kyrgyzstan interestingly enough. She will come to visit and I'm hoping things will be open so that we can see the sights together and perhaps go to the cinema or out for a meal; though most places currently offer some form of dining, albeit out of doors... The reason I like Las Vegas is because the atmosphere is full of excitement-potential. As I mentioned with the dining/museum/cinema avenue however, I think casinos might be closed right now. Not sure where to steer you with all the closures, @Emma Srsly. Sorry I couldn't be more useful!
There's so many places I want to go... Is 30 days enough I might not t come back! Want to see it all..
Well given I want to lice in USA... Its not enough for me ... I'll have to do some thinking. I want fun, sun and adventure...
