Suggestions With The Current Crop Of Tv Shows

There seems to be a bucketload of TV shows to have come out in the last two years, dont have time to get into many of them

Really into Dark Matter at the moment, so skip that one

A bit of a fuss about Killjoys online, tried to start watching that one, but dumb

Same with Mr Robot, a lot of fuss online, but its just some dumb hacker show


I'm mainly asking about non mainstream type shows - fantasy. sci-fi, horror basically anything thats not a cop or doctor show or some dumb reality TV show

Have yet to get into The Expanse, anyone watch The Colony - because thats probably next to download maybe

And next year the new Star Trek show hits the airwaves, two Star Wars TV shows apparently, Westworld, and Bryan Cranston is going to be in the sci fi show Electric Dreams, that does all the stories Phillip K Dick wrote

 

The Expanse is OK, I'd give it a 6/10. Thomas Jane, who plays detective MIller is the spit of Lambert in Highlander, and there's talk of there being a reboot of that, which will probably be complete and utter shite.

Banshee just wrapped up this year, I'd recommend that, but it's really violent. Cool show though. Now that that's ended the new Cinemax series to replace it is quarry, I think the first epsiode premiers on the 9th of September, it's set in 1972 and based on an Vietnam veteran reterning home or something.

Sense8 is JMS's new sci-fi, I've not really got into that yet. JMS of Babylon 5. If you've never seen that then you've never seen anything.

 

The least mainstream thing I watch is orphan black
Killjoys was great for the first episode but I could see where it was going ...never gave the second episode a chance.
I feel the same way about Mr. Robot.

I will be looking to binge a little myself. If there is anything worth watching.

 

Last week I started to watch Seinfeld all over again.

Still runs rails over any show released in the last 15 years.

How scary is a TV-14 show going to be

 

The strain.....although it gets less interesting as it goes along.

 

I wouldn't say it's really scary. There is a monster that eats people. I don't scare easily, so... It's really good sci-fi, though. Nail biter type stuff.

Sorry but there is no way in hell you could tell where Mr robot was going from the first episode. Not to mention killjoys only got better after the first few episodes and finally hit a real stride in season 2.

Two that I watched recently that I loved were tyrant and the get down. Not so sure what you'll think of the get down though vg.... also have you seen hannibal?

Is it very surprising to you that a television show is suspenseful? Never heard of that sort of thing?

 

i just watched the first two episodes, and i must say, i'm completely interested. even though i still kind of wish that annoying kid with the missing teeth disappeared instead of the only semi-likable one.
