Sufism is a mystical branch of Islam. Throughout the centuries they have had a wonderful reputation as deeply caring, loving people, very non-violent, very non-confrontational. In India the Sufis and the Hindu mystics had deep respect for each other and got along well with each other. In Medieval Spain, the Sufis and the Jewish mystics had the same wonderful relationship.
