I guess some of you never had anything stolen from you before it sux. Ive had shit stolen from me twice and it was my sisters friends who i never even talked to before. I had the first two seasons of Family guy which was like wht 40 bucks each. The guy pawned them for heroin i was rly pissed but my sister who borrowd the dvds from me returned me the money. The second time my sister had a few friends over and while i was sleeping at like 4 am this kid comes in my room without me knowing being asleep and takes 70 dollars from me for drugs. Never got my money back and if I ever see this guy when im older i would like to kick the shit out of him. I think the op could hav handled it on his own, but i can see why he went to the cops for what his roomates stole not for drugs. so shut ur mouth does2 your prob the kind of person who would steal shit from people. How would u feel if someone just happened to steal something that was important to you and you couldnt do anythign about it? prob not too good eh?

LOL. this really isn't that big of a deal. he asked for them back, they didn't own up to taking them. chances are, they could kick his ass. but, just because they could kick his ass doesn't mean they have the right to pawn his shit. i think bringing the cops in is a reasonable thing to do. that's what minor-league cops are there for anyways.
Stealing wasn't cool. Yeah, you smoke pot, but that is a victimless crime. IMHO, you have the right to press charges, but I don't think it was the smartest thing. These people obviously have an addiction problem. These people know what you did and where you live. These people are gonna be pissed, and you don't know what they're willing/stupid enough to do. I'm not sticking up for them, I think they should get their shit rocked, but I'm just not going to support this dude for calling the cops and doing dirty ass shit. Besides, if I were to stick up for this dude, and later in life I needed to pawn some video games for crack money, I'd be even WORSE than this dude. I'd be a hypocrite. I had a large collection of cd's stolen out of my locker in high school. It was easy to blame myself b/c I left the locker unlocked:hat: <-dunce hat I find it sad and amusing that the op partakes in a mind-expanding, love-infused herb like cannabis and still buys into the idea that justice is served by cops or authorities. He got his shit back, right? and still pressed charges? and then talked about karma? i can't get my mind around it, am I missing something? what about the good energy that would have returned to him had he been satisified to get his shit back and be grateful he doesn't need to resort to such thieving dishonest acts in order to gratify himself. OK, having been both a thieving addict and having been ripped off numerous times by thieving addicts, I am more than aware of how this shit works out. First of all, I'm quite sure this cat has seen them steal shit from other people. Once people get into the pawn shop stage of addiction their patterns become really obvious. Things appear and then vanish. Moods change dramatically depending on how much crap could be stolen in a given jones period. Yes, pot head living with crackheads is a certain formula for disaster and more than likely on the part of the pot head. Basically any fool could have seen this coming, but one missed it for some reason. Also, I don't think his being a pot head matters, they rarely steal to support their habit. So I don't put the pothead on par with the pair of codependent crackheads. While he was stupid for leaving his shit where ANY crackhead could get it, I still don't think such inaction means he "deserves" to be ripped off. Not that crackheads weigh such moral issues. So a few things can happen. 1, he can confront them with something like "I have a copy of the pawn tickets you got for my shit, I want my stuff in 3 days or I'm taking this to the oinkers". However, this could easily just drive them underground so while he may be able to buy his own stuff back, it may be a while before the oinkers catch up to the crackheads. 2, he can beat the living hell out of them, even bring in help, THEN implement plan 1. So at least of they skip town, they won't be able to do it quickly. Or 3, just go directly to the pigs because it's by far the best chance for getting the stuff back without the pothead having to come off with the geeters from his own wallet. Calling him a snitch for this is lame. Sure he basically set himself up for the whole stupid event, but that still doesn't mean he deserves it. He deserves protection from criminals under the law. At the same time he will need to either move out of town or file restraining orders against both crackheads. However, REAL crackheads who become revenge driven, don't see the law as a limitation. I've had shit stolen from me and it fucking sucks. I don't think he should have called the cops but at the same time i wouldnt want drug addicts living with me. And whats this about bad karma? He didnt do anything wrong, his shit got stolen. They are getting what they deserve...no crackhead is taking my money and getting away with it.
