stupid people with fur coats...

i still cant belive we are doing this. LOL but hell we live in a countryu where its legale to kill a baby just cause the women dont want a baby. but your sitting here trying to stop the harm of animals. what do you expect people on this whole planet dont hold human life in high enough reguard why would you ever expect them to to respect an animals life.

i mean i sound like a broken record with you here i wonder if it will ever sink in to people who think the way you do.

and you never did tell us what it is you feed your dogs and cats.

 

Abortion is a whole seperate issue and i dont see it having anything to do with animal rights......i expect everyone to care about animals but i realize thats not reality. not everyone cares about saving the planet either but thats equally important.

i do not expect my animals to be vegan. a cat cannot be a healthy vegan. a dog.....maybe....there are vegan dogs and they are healthy (the oldest living dog is a vegan) however im not totally convinced of that myself, perhaps with more research i will change my mind. dogs and cats living with us as "pets" or more preferably.."companions"...is not at all natural. they were domesticated and so it is that we now have a responsibility to care for them and give them the best possible quality of life. i have a responsibility to keep my animals healthy and so i feed them meat based food. if things were the way they were meant to be in nature i wouldnt be worrying about what to feed them....but that's not the way it is. as a different species my dog and cat have different nutritional needs than i do...i can be a healthy veg.....i dont believe the same can be said for them. Nor do i expect them to have a level of ethics consistant with an adult human's. just like a seven year old child. i dont expect a child to involve ethics or morals when choosing what to eat (most are dependent on their parents to provide their food), however that child still has an inherent right to a peaceful and happy life....just like animals do. and that my friend is why i dont eat children. (just kidding)

 

yeah they make little bottle of spray paint....you should get some and when these people are paying attention jsut brush by them and cough and spray at the same time. lol

 

why? just to piss off the person? say something to them instead unless your to much a coward. cause if you destroy the fur probably only thing you will accomplish is that person buying another fur and support an industry you seem to despise so much.

 

OK elle at least your consistant in your denial. i just wonder how you or anybody else is gonna feet their pets "companions" if all the beef, pork and chicken byproducts that are not cunsumed by us humans wasnt availble for the pet food industry.

 

I dont feed my animals commercial dog food with by products.
and fyi....if everyone in the world stopped eating meat that doesnt mean that there would be no meat for the animals. organic dog and cat food does exist you know

organic animal feed yeah i know that . and cows are organic also are they not?

 

cow meat....or beef as its called.....can be bought organic. that is how i feed my animals, with organic (free range) meat based food.

I am a Enemy of PETA, but allthough i think wearing fur is shit, it is just cruel. And it is the symbol of capitalism and imperialism. I know how animals on fur farms are treated, they sit in their own shit. And what many people don't know and what angeres me is that they wear cat or Dog fur, mostly imported from China. Many of the furs here in Germany and especially sold in my city... The fur is often painted in other colours, so that no one sees that it is dog or cat on the first view.

i don't understand why people wear fur, and i don't think i've ever seen someone wearing fur that wasn't rich or snobby, but i might be wrong. do people wear fur just to show they have money? wearing an animal doesn't show anything good about a person, it only shows how unthoughtful they are. i was really bored yesterday at the mall so i decided to see what saks had (i'd never been there) and i saw this huge fur section, it made me sick. i wish people would realize that animals aren't objects to be worn, treated badly, or anything like that. it makes me really sad

 

why do you think only rich snooty people wear animal hide? fur skins what ever?

plenty of leather shoes out on the market. purses coats jackets and so on.

even welders gloves. leather is tuffer and much more durable than our own hides and has saved people from many injuries. and way back in early days of flight at high alttitude it saved many a airmen.

i really do like animals but if its me or them i would pick me. and even though most of the people here would not admit it. i think they would also.

Threads/debates like this one never go anywhere cause no one ever listens to the other person and the other one thinks they are right...So its just pointless to debate this as it always has been..

Iron and gringo were just stating and sticking up for what they think, just as you all were... So why are they wrong and you right.. Its good to believe in something no matter what that is, and I commend people for that..But when you take it a step further and think you are the only right one then thats pointless and stupid (and i am speaking not only about vegs, but about anyone who does this..)
This debate will go on and on and on and on.......and it will accomplish nothing..

 

i wasnt intending for this conversation to accomplish anything as this is only and internet forum and i take everything here with a grain of salt. but on this issue (and this issue alone) i absolutley believe that im right...whether someone else agrees or disagrees...and i dont have any problems saying so.

biggest problem i have in a thread like this is getting a straight answer out of people. like this one

why is it ok for a wolf to hunt and kill other animals for food,
why is it ok for some ape species to use tools and collect food like ants off a stick.
and why is it not ok for us human animals to eat what we want?

a cattle farm is just a tool same as the apes stick just more advanced. i am sure if the other animals on this planet could use advanced tools they sure would.

people and cows or what ever species we talk about are all animals but people here cant seem to accept we are here and what we do is natural also.

or why they think just because people do it its so bad?

just think how crule it is for those baby sea turtles to be eaten minuets after hatching by those dang seagulls.
or the seals getting eaten by sharkes or killerwhales.
birds sneaking into another birds nest throwing their babies out and laying new eggs just to leave and let the other bird set and hatch the egg then work to feed the baby. bears camping in a stream to catch fish spawning just trying to survive, having thopse huge teath puncture their bodies and then have the skin ripped off them alive.
birds of prey grabbing small rodents without warning just to eat them, if the rodent doesnt slowly bleed to death before the bird lands what happens? its ripped to pieces while still alive.
there is so much cruelty out there in nature i cant really see how keeping a herd of cattle feeding them well(so they have lotts of meat on them) vacanations and so on. then when the time comes run it into a shut and put a 12gage blank to its head and instantly vaperize its brains causeing instant death. but thats in civilized countries go thrid world like many here seem to like and they usually kill the animals slowly and what looks very painfull.
