Watched the film the other night. It gets better each time I see it.
I still cant figure out if Lady Eboshi is pure fucking evil or pure human (only giving a shit about oneself). Hmmmm it's all semantics really.

Well yeah... um... back to being a loser... The highlight of my day was being
up close to a crow and he looked directly at me and didn't fly away.
Been getting so much contact with crows last two days, I naturally had to find what message crow had for me because when I first heard the crow calling to me (and he was), My instinct told me he was telling me I've lingered too long in my current state of mind and to hurry up and move on.
A book I have told me to call on crow when all forms of emotional healing have failed you and you need to move on.

I feel that way with animals too. There was a period of time where sparrows would circle around me everywhere I walked...wierd. Anyway...i'm still a pretty crazy. That island did wierd things to me yesterday. i spent most of the day walking around by the ocean and just thinking/listening. I felt such a calm vibe from it all. It was so quiet, I felt a peace that i hadn't felt in a while. I felt so in tune with the sea...it sounds so lame in words. I can't describe it.

Then I got back on the ferry and I felt this enormous fear, like I had found out so many things about myself in the quietness, that i could only ineitably go back to the insanity and detachment of city life. I had a wierd night out and today i've been really fucked up. As cooloner knows I wrote this insanely long story about octopii taking over the world in the politics forum. I don't know how to feel now...

Anyway its nice to hear that you are in touch with the animal world.

Eh about eboshi...I don't really know whats the deal. If you think about it, her and mononoke are like opposite extremes and are so consumed with hatred that they wish to wipe each other out. Yakul is like the ghandi of the story...he must see both sides with impartial eyes and fight for peace to save himself...its so beautiful.

I am trying so hard to not let it affect me but its so damn hard.
The profound moments are obscured by the fear of the masses and it gets harder to hold onto those moments of pure empowerment.

Yep...sometimes i feel the urge to hold on is so overwhelming i cant fight it.

I think the key is betraying your urges and forcing yourself to do something against the will of the ego...I guess. Works, sometimes, doesn't others....i dont know.
