Thanks for your input I love Brazilian Portuguese because I think the sound of it, especially done with a strong Brazilian accent, is out of this world. It's guttural in some parts like French and in other parts it sounds more like Spanish. I like how the d's are pronounced like j's: City of God = Cidade de Deus = see dah jee jee day oosh. Beautiful.
I have an interview for part-time ESL teaching to immigrants, mostly Latino I presume. Hopefully I'll get it!!
Yeah I know what you mean and I like that brasilian 'accent' too. It is funny how different it sounds than original portugese. No, when a person is real determined and motivated that is basically the most important. But yes, it is said that at least half of all new jobs are found through networking and not by being picked out because of one's qualities on their resumé and to me that seems indeed to be the case. But I wouldn't focus on that too much if you really wanna go for something! There's the other half too
Try to see where everyone with your degree is running and go another direction. Twitch and you tube are two examples of people going a direction not every one ran to. So just try to go out side of the box or transition it somewhere else.
