Wear shoes or you will hurt your feet...Wear shoes or you will hurt your feet... Told that 100s of times.

I woke up and had to go the bathroom at night, It was dark and kicked the vacuum cleaner that was left in the middle of the room. Bad too, toe turned black and blue.

That just sucks I get hurt going barefoot in a situation where everyone else goes barefoot too. Wear shoes or you will hurt your feet... Ya sure wake up to pee put shoes on for the walk to the bathroom. No one does that and no one gets a 'told you so'

It totally put the fear back it in me. I watch were I am going again that hurt, still does, I thought I broke it.

I feel your pain. I stubbed my big toe really bad on a steep grass slope when I was about 15, it hurt for ages and took months to get fully better. Now in my 30s that toe is not as flexible at all as my other big toe, I must have done a fair bit of damage. Being young though I listened to my parents ‘it’s just bruised, it’ll get better’. Prob should have ignored them and gone to see the doc.

Yeah go and see the doc if it’s bad mate!

Oh yeah, I remember stubbing mine on a rock when I was maybe 12 or 13. Could barely go anywhere for about a month. Saw the doctor and eventually got it fixed.

Back to normal now but the knuckle on the toe going to have a long term lump from that bruise. Maybe I got whats called a bone bruise.

Its still a fresh reminder should keep the automated watch your step system running for a wile.

Now I know how this works. Back as a regular shoe person I thought stubbing toes was just a good reason no to go barefoot but it reinforces the automated self defense watch wear you are going mechanism that shuts down if you spend all your waking hours in shoes and can just kick into things.

Probably hurt my hand constantly if I wore leather gloves for decades then just took them off too.

Still a dumb move tripping over the darn vacuum.

Most accidents occur in the home. Maybe we should reverse the norm, wear shoes indoors and go barefoot everywhere else. (Sarcasm)

The only place I ever whack my toes is in the house. We were all meant to be hunter/gatherers.
