I don't mind what other people do for a living...I personally don't agree with getting naked for the entertainment of others. I think it's degrading to women and it fuels the "piggish" side of men.
I dont have anything against strippers because a lot of them just need money and are trying to get through life but its still gross and nasty because they've been touching a bunch of guys all day and other things and its just gross. But i have total respect for some of them.
I agree with you. I have nothing against people who are strippers and would not look down on them for what they do, but personally, to be one myself, I don't think I would ever be interested in doing that. The thought of dancing around naked and getting money thrown at me would make me feel like a cheap puppet. Everyone is different, though.
Strippers for the most part were abused or hooked on drugs, usually both. I don't see what is so sexy about it. It doesn't turn me on but if it did, that would just suck worse. To each their own however.
They are NOT mostly addicted to drugs or abused... That's a stereotype! They're also not mostly stupid, miserable or diseased. If a woman wants to have an abortion, it's her body and her choice... So why should stripping or porn be any different? It's HER body, not yours. If you don't like strippers, don't become one and don't go to a strip club.
ah i really dont know why are so many people against stripping. Maybe its because they got wrong concept about the whole thing. I have respect towards all people and different charecters and choices. Personaly i do like stipping, i like it alot and i think its a way better profession then many others. Maybe its because i took dancing courses for about 6 years and im teached to work with my body and to influence over other peoples minds. You must have a good body to do that and you must be kinda narcistic, but most important you must know how to tease. Its an art, if you know what you are doing..you can become a godess in the eyes of many and most of all if you enjoy it you can become a godess in your own.
Then you don't know or talk to very many strippers then, not many are doing it because it makes them feel good. Sit down and truely talk to these women. Thus why I said in my post: To each their own.
I'm a fan of all forms of eroticism, and do not consider anything cheap about it. I think it's social conditioning that would have most people think otherwise. There are negatives that can happen in that world, such as people getting into that as being a byproduct of drugs or sexual absue, which is terrible. But in normal casses, I'm fond of the female form, and any form of it which is on display, I approve of. Personally, I'm probably not going to pay for it though.
Well, I also adore the human body, but I do not feel the need to pay to see it. I think I misunderstand those who attend strip clubs more than the strippers themselves. The strippers are (hopefully) doing something they enjoy doing and making a profit by doing so. The viewers? They're dishing out cash while getting a short period of time of seeing a girl or a guy naked. They get all into it and then are sent home with nothing, and if they were under the influence at the time, they don't even remember the experience. I could think of much better ways to see the male body than that!
strippers are a tricky matter. i've been to strip bars a few times, and you can always tell the ones who are injured inside. they break your heart. i've found that some positive attention from a woman who just thinks they're beautiful and worthy can totally change their entire night. but i'm not a panacaea. and then, in this day and age, there are women who do it for a little while just because they like it. but they tend to quit after a short period. they know they're just passing through. they just want to flaunt it for a little while, much like women at the clubs who wear next to nothing. i don't really see the difference, to be honest. but those injured women, the women who didn't have positive male role models, or were molested or raped, they can break your heart with a single look in your eye. you just wanna give them a hug.
KC I'm glad u brought that up. Not every stripper is in it cos of negative issues ie. money, drugs, past abuse. We can't discount the glamorous allure and sensual appeal of exotic dancing whether it's a naive perspective or not. This plays into the hands of the exhibitionist. Keep in mind that policies regarding contact is different from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, city to city and club to club. In some places it's strictly a hands off policy so keep that in mind before making this comment... "they've been touching a bunch of guys all day" In Toronto here one needs a burlesque license to strip, i guess the city regards them as one and the same, but I think that depends on the performer, some put on a better show than others.
yea, i've met quite a few strippers who just do it for the money so they can pay for school. i've met grown mothers that look beautiful, mid 40's, stripping. they have the body and want to show it off. i got a lesbian show out of those 2 ladies...who then told me after the show that they're sons where my age...i was shocked, cuz they didn't look that old at all. i've been to places where its totally hands-off...then i've been to places where its "you have the money, you can get anything you want" - being BJs, sex, etc.... we went to one place quite a lot, and we got to know a couple of the strippers quite well. they even taught us some pole dancing moves - its damn hard.
It's like porn. We love to watch and support the nice, doing it right, starlette who's having fun and making $$ and we know it's all on the 'level' but for every well produced movie there's a handful of seedy crap that's being done. Same with strippers. It's always conflicted me in a way that, while I support these things being done right, I know that by supporting it, I'm also feeding some support into the shady underbelly. There are good clubs with good women who are treated alright and there are despot holes where the women are crack whores on stage. Not to mention any gang culture that slides in there and the crap that goes with that if the joint happens to be owned and coloured. And I'm willing to bet there are more despot joints out there than snazzy ones. Overall, it's a person's choice. Sometimes it's a good one, sometimes it's not.
Depends entirely how sensitive you are to other people. We weren't when we were young... I seemed to remember getting tossed out and in a fight once because we were heating up loonies under the table and tossing them at them. Dunno. I'm a bit of a better person now though.
well personally i think stripping is degrading to women esp to their children family friends boyfriends parents and their gender. The joint shouldn't even exist.
did you do research or take a survey on the subject? You state that as if it is a fact, and you are wrong. Are you also the kind of person that believes for the most part that all black people are on welfare, all middle earterns are terrorists, etc, etc.. Although, it is a stereotype it most definately is not true. Stripping is a job. It is not who the person is and does not define them.
Oh yes, that is more what I like. If I weren't so self conscious about my body I'd love to strip. It's a fantasy of mine! It's kind of sad to say because compared to most I see my body is pretty damn good. Everyone else seems to like it!
