i've been a few times. a couple times back in college, and a couple bachelor parties since then. the last time was probably about 4 years ago though. it's alright to do for a change, but definitely not worth the money. every strip club i've been to in ohio served alcohol and had fully nude dancers. as did the one in windsor. the last bachelor party i went to was in detroit, and i couldn't believe the girls weren't even getting naked.
I've never been to a strip club but a couple of my friends were strippers. I'm really not into strip clubs at all. I can't imagine being interested in naked strangers. I think it would be fun to do with a group of friends. My friend tried to get me to go work at her club and I just couldn't explain to her it was something I could never do. I love dancing and I'm not really shy about nudity but putting the two together in that way, just wouldn't work for me. Then she wanted me to be a waitress there, which I considered but I'd rather not be in that environment at all.
strip clubs have always been kind of depressing to me. The last time I went was probably when I was 19 or 20 and I remember feeling depressed because one girl was really beautiful but she looked really innocent (well, for a naked girl in a strip clug) and she hardly looked old enough to work there, and then another stripper was an amazing dancer, like you could tell she had probably trained professionally at one point, but there she was working at a strip club. a friend of mine used to bartend at a strip club and brought home anywhere from $400 - $800 a night. She hated the environment though.
Yeah I think it's depressing too. One of my friends who was a stripper said she was one of the only girls there who wasn't ya know the stereotype. She had this idea though that she couldn't do anything else. She literally had that kind of self esteem that she wasn't good at anything else, at all.
I think it's hard to make any kind of a definitive blanket statement about all strip clubs that's going to be true in every case. The clubs are so different, from dives to upscale, and the girls are so different, from ignorant slobs to bright professionals working a second job for fun and extra income. There seems to be a lot of turnover in this profession. I think the few who stick with it for a while either find a comfortable situation, or they just can't do anything else that pays. I've seen several clubs that I would consider a much better work environment than a nasty, loud factory full of dangerous machinery. About five years ago, I talked to a topless dancer who had been formally trained in ballet. She didn't seem unhappy. She said she hadn't given up on ballet, which is always a hard thing for anybody to make a living at, and liked having a job where she got to work out all day and stay in shape. Another girl in Atlanta told me that she had loved modern dance all her life and had been an exhibitionist since puberty, so she felt like she was getting paid to play instead of work. She was an idealistic hedonist; the total opposite of the stripper stereotype. Another one said she was a full-time nurse who would rather be working out and meeting people in her time off than sitting around her apartment watching TV. It's fascinating to me to talk to these girls. Once they warm up to me, they tell me all kinds of behind the scenes stories. Like, there are some older girls on the day shift who have lots of regular customers who are married guys with problems at home, and the girls kind of function as semi-professional counselors. Some of them have some very insightful things to say about their clients, and have obviously been able to build up a collection of regulars through their above average ability to talk to people and understand what's going on with them. I didn't expect to encounter any of that in a strip club. I had a real meeting of the minds with them, because I'm above average in sizing people up quickly.
There is only one strip club I go to and not very often. Like, once every two years. But it is just north of Boston and it is completely nude and serves alcohol. I haven't enjoyed it as much in recent years because all the breasts are obviously fake and the music is predominantly hip-hop, which turns me off usually. When I travel, which I rarely do anymore, I am sometimes taken to clubs by clients. I am usually very disappointed because they are not nude. A couple of years ago, I finally went to Las Vegas and I was amazed how tame the place is. Very hard for me to understand why they call it Sin City. It would be more accurate to call it "family-friendly". I got a massage and found out there are all these Puritan rules. Jeez, Massachusetts is hotter! The best club I ever saw was in Montreal. This is the only place where I've seen a man stripped by a woman. All the other acts were beautiful women stripping completely.
I don't really go to strip clubs to see naked women. I'm more interested in whats inside her head. I want to make her laugh, see her smile, tell me about her dreams. It's an escape and a place to learn about and become comfortable talking to beautiful women, and improve your own self confidence. Going to strip clubs and getting those girls to genuinely like you has really improved my game with women in the real world.
What do you think of the one down in the theater district? I haven't been there, but saw something about it online. Uptight people from Los Angeles have ruined Vegas. All the legal brothels are outside of Clark County.
You guys do realize strippers are paid to laugh and talk to the customers, right? Lol. I could see how "practicing" on them would help your game though, I guess.
Walk into a building, sit down at a stage hold up a dollar and see a girl naked. What's not to love Lol
Hahaha no kidding. I think strip clubs that aren't sleazy are a lot of fun with the right people. They're drinks are always weak and expensive though. $8 for a coke with a tiny splash of whiskey? No thanks.
Plus, there's actually a few girls at a club in my hometown that are actually pretty talented and entertaining. One of them does a black light, topless hooping routine that's really cool to watch.
No doubt. The ones that can slowly twirl up side down with no hands from the ceiling to the floor make me @.@
