Not at all. It only means that Jesus did not want to die for us, but to live for us. He forgave the misunderstanding.

Does the spirit of animals die?

No, i am suggesting that god being mercy does not punish. Again that you will surely die is you eat is not a death sentence from god.
Really, I thought he said the woman made him do it. Did she?

Really, God said of that tree you may not eat or, you will surly die. He did not say, It is my command that you do not eat. If it had been his command then the fruit would not have been eaten. If it had been his command why was the tree there in the first place? Regardless waterbrother,
Words are symbols and symbols can be twisted to mean anything you like.

All I asked was what is the name of the god you invoked, if you feel that actually using God's name is a "hellish problem", then that is your problem not mine.

By the way God's name is Jehovah not "I am".
As respects my name Jehovah; Jehovah is his name; You must not take up the name of Jehovah your God in a worthless way, for Jehovah will not leave the one unpunished who takes up his name in a worthless way; Jehovah is the [true] God; I am coming to you with the name of Jehovah; he went on to bless the people in the name of Jehovah; Give thanks to Jehovah, YOU people; call upon his name; O Jehovah, your name is to time indefinite; they will have to know that my name is Jehovah; Jehovah the God of YOUR forefathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, has sent me to YOU. This is my name to time indefinite
Go ahead if you wish, add it but doing so doesn't make much difference to the discussion.
You aren't listening, dead means no longer in existence, no longer conscious of anything, you can't get anymore positively dead than that. Positively dead doesn't have any connotation of length of time but just that you no longer exist.
Where was the person before they were resurrected? They are dead, positively dead if you want, non existent. But you say after death they still "alive", existent in some form, how is that "positively dead"? That sounds more like Satan's lie you shall surely not die.
Truth is that Eve was not like God in this matter, she died and God did not, so her belief that she was not like God was not a lie, as you maintain but the truth.
As I've already pointed out, God is not so unjust and unloving as you make him out to be by suggesting that God would penalize Adam and Eve for something they didn't understand.

Also Eve would have been familiar with the death of animals around her.
No, this is what I said;
"I have said no such thing. I asked you to tell us which side you are on.
God's, when he says the result of eating of the tree will be death or Satan's, when he says than it will not result in death."

And still you avoid the question.
Eve was deceived by that lie and thus ate and so it was her believing of that lie that lead to her death but nice try at defending Satan's role in this matter.
The account is truth, if it a true account of what happened. Like the matter at hand, saying that Satan told a lie, is the truth but that doesn't make what Satan said true.

Your intent is to demonstrate that god is not in me, not simply to inquire.

By the way the question remains to you, why is it not yaweh, to be?

As respects this whole soliloquy, You should not apply yourself in vain.
It will if you admit it a legitimate part of the discussion.
Then hear this, gods spirit does not die.

you can't get anymore positively dead than that. Positively dead doesn't have any connotation of length of time but just that you no longer exist.

You are correct, that is the form of what you said, it's content is as I described. You confuse form, with content. You judge by appearances rather than using right judgment.

No, I answer your questions ad nauseum, what I do not do, is satisfy your intent.
The account is symbolic. You are defending satans role, I am defending eves, as a child of god. Satans lie does not convict man. He was a liar from the beginning.

Satans role waterbrother, is to accuse, to seek the condemnation of the children of god.

It is interesting how quickly you discard Scriptures that don't agree with you.

what did the Christ say?
“Woe to YOU, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because YOU give the tenth of the mint and the dill and the cumin, but YOU have disregarded the weightier matters of the Law, namely, justice and mercy and faithfulness. These things it was binding to do, yet not to disregard the other things." (Matthew 23:23)
and here
This loving him with one’s whole heart and with one’s whole understanding and with one’s whole strength and this loving one’s neighbor as oneself is worth far more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. (Mark 12:33)

or what is being said in these verses (that were not written by Paul who wrote under inspiration of the Holy Spirit but by others who also wrote under inspiration of the Holy Spirit.)
(1 Samuel 15:22) In turn Samuel said: “Does Jehovah have as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of Jehovah? Look! To obey is better than a sacrifice, to pay attention than the fat of rams;
(Proverbs 21:3) To carry on righteousness and judgment is more preferable to Jehovah than sacrifice.
(Isaiah 1:11) “Of what benefit to me is the multitude of YOUR sacrifices?” says Jehovah. “I have had enough of whole burnt offerings of rams and the fat of well-fed animals; and in the blood of young bulls and male lambs and he-goats I have taken no delight.
(Hosea 6:6) For in loving-kindness I have taken delight, and not in sacrifice; and in the knowledge of God rather than in whole burnt offerings.
or here
I quote Scripture for you to see what the Bible actually says and suddenly those Scripture are my interpretation. [IMG]

I can only hope that one day you will open your eyes and ears and see what the Bible is saying to you.
And yet you continue to want others to believe you instead of the Bible.
That's what I'm doing.
My quest for blood? [IMG]
Pointing out where you disagree with the Bible is not a quest for blood but Jesus did point out that some, who reject the truth, would feel that the truth is burning them like a fire.
A good goal, if you knew what Biblical love is.
So once again you use man's wisdom to accuse God of injustice.
The resurrection is only ambiguous to those who believe that death doesn't exist, because resurrection is the return to life of the dead. What is the need to resurrect those who are not dead?
It is only a contradiction to you, only those who are dead, nonexistent, can be resurrected. There is no point in resurrecting those who are alive because they're alive and the purpose of resurrection is to bring back to life those who are dead.
It's an illustration, symbolic, showing that in God's Kingdom there will be peace, even among those who in this system of things seem to be natural enemies.

You were talking about Jesus' ransom being a payment and this comment obviously does not address that because Jesus did not pick up his "cross" and follow himself.
Yes we can learn from them but they are way more than just teaching devices.
While forgiveness is important, you take it way to far, here you are implying that for one is "forgiving", nothing else counts, that all the other teachings of the Christ can be discarded and in fact God can be discarded as well, if we are "forgiving". [IMG]
Yes, that is true. We need works of faith to strengthen our faith but it is not the works that are important but the faith itself.

What? Jesus wanted to die for us but that he was being put to death for the false charge of blasphemy was almost more than he could bear.

Brother, it means they confused form with content.
and here
This loving him with one’s whole heart and with one’s whole understanding and with one’s whole strength and this loving one’s neighbor as oneself is worth far more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. (Mark 12:33)
Again, it means they confuse form with content. It is christs love that redeems us, not sacrifice.

Shall I go on waterbrother, each and every scripture you quoted here says the same thing. Don't confuse form, with content.

You have the option of doing gods will, go learn what this means, I desire mercy, not sacrifice.
No, I suggest applying the sayings of christ to every circumstance we encounter. Every moment of our lives can be in communion with god.

So, you would like me to burn instead, a death sentence is a death sentence no matter the form it takes.
Without reservation for condition.

You are getting mixed up in your glee to kill things, I said the resurrection is wholly unambiguous.
You are regarding dead as a state of being. What is to be resurrected, if there is nothing there?
Again, there are no natural enemies in gods kingdom, what you are saying is a contradiction of terms. You are muddle headed.

He uprooted suffering and came into glory. The cross is a symbol of suffering. Maybe you missed the comment about the meaning of that symbol.
Jesus came to teach you how to be near god, not to teach you to adore himself. He is adorable in his own right, as are you.
God cannot be discarded, gods spirit spirit does not die. Forgiveness restores soundness to the eye, so that you can see the body of god of gods kingdom.
God's children have never been condemned save by each other. They call him the accuser.
You misread this. Works are vitally important to strengthening faith, without them, faith is dead.

Asking if spirit dies, is a little like asking if electricity dies. No, neither electricity or the spirit dies and if you're wondering the dust that they are made from doesn't die either.
You will surely die if you eat is not a death sentence from God? Really? What is it a love tap?
That's what Adam implied when he said; “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me [fruit] from the tree and so I ate.”

Here Adam not only blamed the woman but tried to blame God for giving him the woman in the first place. But Adam was not decieved no matter what he said, he was just trying to rationalize what he had done by blaming it on others.
You're kidding, right?

It's all God's fault because he didn't make it a command. [IMG]

If you were house sitting for someone and they left a note that you could help yourself to anything in the house, including a well stocked pantry, freeze and refrigerator, except for a piece fruit in the refrigerator that he carefully described to you and said don't eat it, because if you do you will die. Then because he didn't say that it was a command that you not eat it, you're going to eat it first chance you get? Personally, command or not, I probably wouldn't eat anything out of the refrigerator just to make sure.
Obviously but that doesn't make that twisted meaning true.

That sounds a bit defensive and judgmental.
The common English pronunciation of the tetragrammaton is Jehovah, just like Jesus is the common English pronunciation of the Hebrew Yeshu′a, or Ye–ho′shu‧a.

As for the meaning of Jehovah, it comes from the causative form, the imperfect state, of the Heb. verb ha‧wah′ (become); meaning “He Causes to Become”.
None of it is my words, it is a string of quoted scriptures of how God feels about his name Jehovah.
Never said it wasn't.
So?
Right judgment? I thought you said we weren't to judge at all.

In any case you still have not answered the question.
Perhaps but still haven't answered this one.
You're defending Eve by saying that it was all her fault and Satan had nothing to do with it? Sounds like you are the one throwing Eve to the wolves and defending Satan.

Also I couldn't help but notice you left this unanswered:
"you can't get anymore positively dead than that.

Satan's role, if you will, is accuse God of ruling improperly, withholding what is good from mankind and not telling mankind the truth and to slander God and his servants. Also he wants mankind to worship him and if he can't do that he wants to get mankind not to serve God.
