Not sure if Streetlife only exists(ed) in the UK or not but anyway they apparently have just been sold out to Nextdoor, an American company that runs a similar site, and this is raising some serious privacy concerns. Members of Streetlife are now being encouraged to migrate their accounts over before it closes in 11 days. What most people are aware of though is that Nextdoor demands that you display your home address, at the very least the street you live on and many people who have migrated their accounts over to Nextdoor didn't realise this and have unwittingly given out their location to anyone and everyone on the internet. One woman who is on the same group on Streetlife as her ex had, up until migrating over to Nextdoor, kept her new location a secret from him. Now he knows where she lives again. Well done Nextdoor. If you compare the design of the two sites- https://www.streetlife.com/ Nextdoor.com They both bear similarites in style and font, which leads me to speculate that this was already the plan from the beginning and that this might be some insidious data mining project run by the NSA? Either way I'm off. RIP Streetlife. It's been quite useful for some things over the past few years, but now it's dead because most people just use facebook for everything. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-38920906
This goes with the saying...don't put anything on the net that you wouldn't put on the front page of the local paper.
In other words just stay off the internet. There's no need to be overly paranoid about you put out on the internet.
I'm not staying off the net because I am not sharing anything I care that everyone knows. I would prefer my mom not see some of the sex posts I have made here but I am sure she knows or could guess most of them anyway.
So you want 2 sex posts in that spare hour? I have one but not sure where the second one is coming from.
