Up to 0 g's. It was actually kind of anticlimactic. I've been playing with my 2s for ages, waiting for just the right time I guess, and they'd started going all the way through the holes at night while I was in bed. But when I decided the other day to finally move up, I went through the whole sterilizing and lubricating process, and the darn thing just went right in! On my right ear, the hole was apparently already stretched completely. The hole's healed, not sore or anything. On my left ear, I had to stretch it a little bit, but only just barely. The taper barely gave just a little resistance on that side. I'm staying here, at least for quite a while. I like the plugs I've got in, and now I've got enough experience, etc. that I think my work on plugs has gotten much better - which was largely the purpose of this whole thing for me to begin with.
crack up, you all, this almost 40 mama started stretching last weekend. I have NO idea what I started at: I self-pierced in the 80s with diaper pins, and have owned heavy earrings. I think my rings are 10, maybe 8 (i was dealing with a dork at the kiosk: don't buy from a kiosk unless you are already knowledgable). I also had one ear "prestretched" and the other going more slowly. I'm getting the lymph fluid and some crusties on my o rings (I can't close captives myself because I cant see thru all my hair and my sweetie freaked when I flinched-even though I said it is supposed to hurt), but less each day. So I economically have to stay here for a month. looking for spirals and such for later: not sure if I'll continue to stretch. I do have a weird Q: I have two sets of holes. I'm using the lower ones. can you stretch both if you stay small...and what would that potentially look like? I know I won't be going into grommet territory...I think...maybe.....
I had my ears stretched at one point, i don't know why i did it. I tried to do it once and chickened out because the pain was unbarable. Then i got the balls to do it again, and i can say that was the single most painful thing i've ever experianced(including getting my nipple peiced). I had them in for a few months, they healed over fine, then as randomly as i had put em in, i took them out. I think they looked pretty cool but i missed normal earings.
Well I stretched up to 9/16ths this morning, which is the next gauge up from 1/2 inch, my left ear went fine, my right which was kinda in between a 000g and 1/2 inch feels like it's trying to flee from my head. It has been over 2 years since i stretched last so they were very happy where they were.
thats so cool! congrats yes, you can stretch both the holes in each of your ears and it can look really great. when my ears were about 00g i had 6g second holes for awhile, and i know a guy with about 0g plugs in his first holes and about 4g plugs in his second ones. so you can go pretty big if thats your thing. i think if i tried to stretch my second holes again now, they would join with my first holes which are 3/4". i just use the second ones for wearing normal earrings in. i do know i girl who has two of her ear piercings joined together from stretching them but it looks kinda cool. i think im addicted to stretching lol! i just love the way it looks and i get so bored with ordinary metal rings and such. im finished with my ears finally (poor things are sooo fucked haha) and my next project is my lip. its at about 8g right now. so damn hard to find jewellery for it. i think i will also stretch my septum one more size to 6g... good luck!
Not to hijack the thread, but I went to a well-known piercing place yesterday and he told me he could stretch me from a normal lobe piercing to an 8 right there (I've had it since I was 7 so it's pretty stretched out anyway with my hoops) and put in a glass plug. I didn't really feel comfortable with that so I decided to wait, but has anyone else heard of that and is it safe?
i went from a normal size to 8g when i first started stretching. its not a good idea. it hurts like fucking hell and will probably screw your ears over pretty good. when you go that fast they will prolly bleed and tear, creating a lot of scar tissue which can prevent them from closing up completely or make it harder to sretch bigger. you really only want to go a size at a time. i stretch my own piercings and prefer that, but if you feel more comfortable having someone else do it, just tell the piercer you only want to go one size up. sometimes a stretch will go so easily and painlessly that you feel comfortable doing another. just go by how you feel, but never try to shove in a taper thats more than one size bigger. it may seem like it will get your ears stretched faster, but the recovery time is way longer so theres really no benefit unless you like pain lol. it may be possible for you to go to 8g of your ears are naturally stretched enough, but again, go a size at a time. you should see my ears. you would be dead scared of stretching too fast! i have pretty harsh blowouts from going from 0g to 1/2" in two days and recently, from there to 3/4". im too impatient... lol
no prob hope i didnt scare you! stretching really is awesome and feels rather nice, i think, when you do it right. this is a good guide for stretching ear lobes- http://www.onetribe.nu/catalog/stretching.php
