Strange reaction to Alprazolam and Clonazepam

I have been on both alprazolam and clonazepam for the past 5 years, not at the same time, he switches between the two when one starts to not work so well. Anyway, I rarely take enough to get high, I only indulge when I happen to end up with extras. The last time I did this with both drugs I ended up becoming MORE anxious and did not experience the same high I was used to.

I was wondering if anyone has had this experience or if anyone could tell me why perhaps this happened?
