i was staying with a so called friend of mine... we worked at the same place and had the same hours that day... well works done, im helping the others sweeping/mopping up the floors before heading. he usually waits for me/us... since we usually have a smoke session right after them long days of work. i go outside and hes gone, his cars gone. wtf!? the boss locked the doors already so i had to knock on the door till someone came over and opened, i asked to use the phone tellin them my ride left. i called him up on his cellphone, and he was like "oh shit man sorry, i'll be right there"...

ive learned the difference between so called friends and buddies...

Long story, but it has to do with lack of money on my side and lack of ATM's on Myanmars side.

Nah, I managed to get out of there eventually. With the help of the poshest (and possibly only) hotel that gave cash advances on credit cards.

And after that I couldn't get out of Myanmar, because they wouldn't sell me a ticket to Bangladesh. Eventually I got a ticket to India, so it all worked out fine. But I lost a lot of time being stuck and trying to get out whilst I would have loved to use that time to explore more.

Sault Ste. Marie. I was there for a show and I apparently stayed for one more set than the people I was with. It was one of my first times there, I was a little drunk and had around five bucks to my name. To make it better I also didn't know the address of where we were staying so I couldn't ask anyone.

He was sleeping. Figures though, the moment I secured another ride and basically made them leave the bar they were hanging out at to come get me, he showed up and was ready to leave. Then he got mad because he had to wait for them to get there so they wouldn't be waiting on me wondering where I was. So then I tell him to go ahead and go home that I'll wait for them and go to the bar with them and he wanted to get mad about me making him get out of bed and waste his time coming to get me. . .

So, I went home and apologized to my second ride. They were cool about it, though, thankfully.

Cate, are you serious? That's some really fucked up shit to get left in a strange place like that. Some friends of mine stole a car a while back and headed out together. One of them got too annoying so when she went into the bathroom at a rest stop, they ditched her and continued on their way. I've seen her once since, and had to try super hard not to laugh my ass off at her. Stupid crackheads.... that's what they get.

When I was about 6 or so, My class went to a rec center for swimming and I got left behind because I was new at the school and followed a different school because their uniforms looked like ours. I was there for a few hours too, it was scary.

totally! and to make things worse, the next day my teacher yelled at me for it. I WAS FUCKING SIX! and maybe not even six yet, it was grade 1. I ran home that day and my mom home schooled me until grade six, which she wanted to do anyway. lol

that story of first grade trauma reminds me of one of the funniest moments of my life (and probably one of the worst of this kid's...)

every class has the smelly kid that everyone makes fun of i'm assuming... well one day in first grade, we were in the middle of class; i don't remember what we were doing as it was about 18 years ago, but i know we were all sitting in the classroom in the middle of something... suddenly the smelly kid raised his and and said (and i remember these were the exact words) "mrs. deets, marcus laughed when i picked my nose and ate the booger."

at that point every single person in the room laughed uncontrollably at the poor kid for about five minutes. including the teacher...
