Stop Blaming America

The main burning question for this thread is will Balbus ever stop blaming America for everything he deems wrong with the world and politics in general?

Inquiring minds want to know.

 

I never did blame America until Obama came on the scene. Fought in my generation`s war [ Vietnam war ] and never complained. I still think of President Johnson as the best president of my lifetime. Served in Nam under Nixon also. At least he was on America`s side and he did free us Marines up to pursue NVA into Laos. He DID create detente with the then USSR and Red China. Major accomplishments. I remember watching the evening news with reports from Vietnam, I recall watching the news reports and what a HUGE deal it was when tricky dick went to China.
I also remember watching the news and the infamous "I am not a crook" remark/resignation.


You risk making yourself look like an ass when you make assumptions about a person's knowledge/experience/age when you haven't been provided any clues to such information.

Remember when he put China on the "Most Favored Nation" list of trade partners? Oh and, what segment of society now complains the most about Chinas role in world economics today?

What some of you posters seem unaware of is the fact that the world is in a constant state of change. Back in the 1960s and on into the 1970s there was a very real danger of the USA and USSR going to war with each other. In fact the history of all this dates back to at least WWII. The USSR under Stalin WAS determined to take over as much of the world as he could. There was the Korean war and then the Vietnam war. So called proxy wars. The Cuban missile crisis and such. All very real events now forgotten by many. Had America failed to show a determined willingness to stand up to the USSR and Red China there was NO ONE ELSE willing or able to do so. And you WOULD be living under a Stalinist type of Government as the East Europeans including Poland and then East Germany, the Baltic and Balkan states lived under for so many years. But keep your head in the sand or up your ass and you may end up living like the Iranian`s and others do right now. ...Oscar

Besides the fact this is a parody thread the fact that the world is constantly changing makes it only more valid to criticize America on some of it's foreign policies. It's not like we're still in the cold war with the land of the free fighting off the reds, right? :sunny:

No, it is not like the cold war. We have a president who is actively supporting enemies of the USA. He calls them freedom fighters, they call themselves Jihadists [ holey warriars ]. Jimmy Carter actually started this policy with his support of the Mujadeen during that era in Afganistan. At that time these jihadists had not attacked the USA. But anyone who listened to what they said should have known they had nothing but hatred for anyone who was not a moslem. That of course includes most Americans. But if you want to live that way please do leave America and do so.
If you are a woman you have to wear a black tent with a peephole to see through. Your father will trade you with some pal of his for his young daughter and things like that. Is THAT what YOU consider a hip lifestyle ?
Let`s get real here if that is at all possible. If you are fortunate enough to live in the US or some other free country you had better start paying attention to what our president is up to. He has created hell on earth for the Libyans along with getting that ambassador and his staff murdered.
I guess a lot of you assholes just assume there will always be some OTHER people out there protecting you.
That is no longer the case. You now have a president actively supporting these jihadists and who is turning against the very veterans who protected you. He is placing jihadi sympathizers in leadership roles in the Homeland Security, FBI, NSA, etc.. He has lined up 15,000 Russian mercenaries to take over Washington D.C.. Things like that. Do not trust this guy Obama. He NEVER mentioned his ARAB SPRING policy until after the last election. Now it is his foreign policy. ...Oscar
