Birds freak me out man

LOL! I probably shouldn't laugh...but there are really other I know in r/l that say the SAME thing. One of those people is my BIL who said if I ever got a bird, he was NOT visiting anymore. sort of tempting...j/k

I don't know why, but I've felt like this - wanting a talking, long-living bird for a few years.

 

There is a lot to be said for just going ahead and embracing "crazy"...

puts an end to those pesky internal questions.

 

Some people don't think about how old some of these birds live when they buy one. The bird can easily outlive the owner and they grieve just as much as we do...

 

I didn't realize, or even consider that, Ty...that the bird would grieve.

However, I had/have already come up with a contingency plan...that before I left this mortal veil that the bird would know my son well and vice versa...and he (and hopefully future grandchildren) would inherit him/her.

 

I love birds but I've never had one inside.

I think birds are cool cause they talk and fly....
I would love to fly.....

 

When I was growing up, we had 2 parakeets, at different times, for about 10 years total. Never could get either of those boogers/budgies (lol) to talk, but they sure did chirp and tweet loud.

me too! My very favorite dreams are flying dreams...well also the sitting/moving on a "flying carpet" dreams.

i remember being on the east coast when the cicadas swarmed, we built a hospital for cicadas that had been dive-bombed by birds. good times.

yup, but its only 11:19 here. still gotta do some dishes, might get to squeak in a shower. i dont know yet.
