its bloody marvellous!! apart from my "job" is more than fulltime and they pay my rent and only my rent..sounds ungrateful i know, but with no hours left to get another job i have no cash whatsoever...it seems this church like to provide shelter but no food...

You have to remember that historically, christianity has been a very fluid faith. It's evolved through many different phases through the centuries. Many of the ideas considered integral to the church today would've seemed very strange to christians of old. This is one of the problems I have with overly zealous christians who believe that their faith is the absolute and unquestionable word of god - they forget that the church is subject to the whims of man just like any other institution. Look at the divisions over homosexuality. Two completely opposed views, and yet both sides of the argument sincerely believe that they're correctly interpreting the will of god. Both can't be right!

...I thought this year was finally the year I'd make it to Stonehenge for the solstice but as I start my summer job the week before, there's no way I can get the time off... I already have a few days for glasters and 3.5 weeks for travelling! And no sickies as my dad works there, too... grr grr grr
