I always forget how good Ensiferum is and every 8 months or so, I remember them. And I like what I hear. :)

I have seen through the eyes of a wolf
And felt all its pain and loneliness
The beautiful land opened before my eyes
Wild as a beast I ran into the night
The calling of the howling wind
Is raging in the realms of north
Creations of ice rising mighty into the skies
    And treacherous gods shall fall
    Watching through the falling snow
    There's no sign of life
The fire has gone out in the whirl of time
    Behold the face of thunder
    The storm is getting near
When the sky calls my name, I have no fear

This has so bothered and annoyed me I cannot even adequately describe it. I've even begun to question if its real. What if it is all a bunch of bullshit? And all of these times I "thought" I was getting better, it was just the "power of the mind and placebos".

Since I now see things through "new eyes", it may very well not work. If not, then I guess my back will just be forever in non-stop pain, except for the few moments pain-killers cause it to let up.

I am NOT a happy camper..not one damn teeny little bit.

I'm not predicting a good outcome for all of this, and that makes me very very not happy...all because one man could not keep his mouth shut. AND HE LAUGHED.

That is all I have to say about that, and its not a good thing.

I guess I have to keep on being at least half-ass nice (and sucking you know what) to get stuff done around here, but nothing is the same. Nothing.

Plus of course there is this back thing that seems non-stop, and God forbid me (or anyone) think acupuncture will help...especially there is just loads and loads of information telling how it doesn't work and bla bla bla. Thank you so fucking much, internet.

I guess its a good thing I never knew it didn't work before...l wouldn't have had all of those pain free years.

Lynn, it works for some.. and it's worth giving it a go.. fuck him babe.. it's about you! No one else

Some people don't give a shit, some people think they know everything.. and they don't! And they don't like that you have a mind of your own!

    Go for it! X

@morrow ... thanks so much for your encouragement. I don't know how much it will do since all I seem able to do is see all of these pages and pages on the internet about how it doesn't work, is a placebo, etc.

ALTHOUGH there are some articles (few though they may be) indicating that it does work, the scientific evidence as to how it works sounds not only iffty but very difficult to follow. smh

Of all the things to pick at me about and really ridicule me for, this was not the subject. seriously.

All I can say is it is a good thing (for him) that I need a lot of stuff done around here.

You are wise to stay away from the pain pills, they have ruined many a life. I have chronic back pain as well and have considered buying an inversion table but I'm a little afraid I'd get stuck. My brother would come to visit one day and discover an upside down mummy hanging in the bedroom.

My son has one of those inversion tables and I have wondered about it oh - a million times. I also have that concern that I might get stuck there forever...and God forbid Mr. Anti-Acupuncture help me. (I'm supremely put out with him, in case you can't tell. lol)

My boy claims that it is practically impossible to get stuck in that upside-down position...but then I would have thought it impossible to drop the biggest heaviest weight on my foot. :p

Since my boy is 6'4", it is much more likely for his spine to get compressed than my 5'3".

However, since the way I injured mine (getting JAMMED down on the pavement of a road -on my butt, no less), to me that practically cries compression (or jammed)..right?

I remember a guy I used to work with did that Reiki healing stuff, and did it for another employee with a bad back. The guy walked around for a week feeling really good, until someone convinced him that it was just a placebo, and then his pain came back.

There are also studies that have shown that the placebo effect can still work even if you know that it is a placebo, so I'd suggest focusing on the fact that it has helped you in the past. Just keep reminding yourself that it doesn't matter whether it was actually the acupuncture or just a placebo - what matters is that it works for you.

I hate seeing you so upset Lynn.....I cant help think how funny it would be if buddy came to your door and you had a voodoo priestess in your kitchen having coffee with you and mama....and the voodoo priestess is giving you acupuncture

now...having said that...there is lots of evidence saying it does work.....

I agree, it does work.. helped me when I had a disc out in my kneck, gave me a frozen shoulder and had to have surgery..but the acupuncture sorted the pain and enabled my movement again... Not the most pleasant of procedure, but definitely worked.

Currently locked out of my apartment. Key card stopped working for some reason.

Sitting outside the door waiting for someone to come help. Can't even go rent a hotel for the night because my passport is inside...

Same reason random thoughts is hidden, I imagine.

Hip Forums seems to be going though some kind of rebranding.
