I'm really happy with my time here I spend couple hours working the ins and outs of setting up a CUP car around an oval and it's a headache. But surely as ever I started making ground and I'm not far off the alien now. I won't be racing in the 400 mile race this was for because I'm playing pool this weekend but thought I'd get in and help get a setup ready for my team to help them out. :)

    That's my pit crew. :p

I'm not actually opposed to the open marriage idea, I had a pretty solid open relationship I just told myself I better stick to my piece of cake for a while now I'm a newly wed. :p

loving it! i am going to have to throw something together and upgrade it later, im tired of waiting. i usually like to do things right/ high quality so that i dont have to redo it, but i just have to make an exception here.

Ugh, I've copped a hard group in pool. Every. Fucking. Time! Why can't I play in easier groups? Got 3 top state guys and a national champion and I need to come top 3 to advance. I hate how they do their draws I think it's unfair no wonder they never get new faces.

See to me the top guys should play the top guys and intermediates play intermediates. Otherwise, the way they have it, I just paid 85€ to lose. And that does my head in. I think it's better to have skills play skills, if an intermediate player such as myself gets on a roll then you can take momentum to the next stage against the pros, but having us all play the pros in round one is dismal, we already know we cannot advance.

Well I'm just going to go and have fun and see if I can make them scratch their heads at me. You never know I might get a couple of games against them, but looking at rankings alone I'm 5th seed out of 8 seeds and 5th on back on paper literally has no chance.

This is the same as every sport ever...at least that I have seen.
In hockey the top seed plays the 8th seed in the first round. Same as basketball.
In baseball the league leader plays the wildcard in their first round.
In football the top team dosnt even have to play the first round.
It usually makes for a more exciting finals and championship if the best opponents play then rather than in the first round.

…..nothing wrong with that...its actually better to not jump into the final coop because you will know what you want and what you dont want..my first coop was skids with plywood nailed to them

They hired 4 new people where I work that have no electrical experience and the supervisor has them all working on the same order of thirty electrical panels. So I'm in the test department and I'm helping go through these panels and it is a nightmare: missing components, wiring errors, connection errors, missing labels and so on. It's taking forever.

Yeah I get that but these aren't finals on day one it's just our groups. When I signed up as an indermediate skilled player, I thought I'd be grouped with other intermediates.

The way I see it, having groups made up of 3 elite players out of 8 and 3 make it through, pretty much guarantees those 3 elite players are going to make it through.

I get when the final rounds come on board top seed plays bottom seed but not in the round robin. If I'd have known the format I wouldn't have even bothered with this. I just find it unfair. Why even catagorise our skills? So I pay less of a fee? I'm just adding to the prize money with no chance.

See this happened last season in a 4month elite state comp I entered and afterwards they asked for suggestions and I said exactly what I did in my previous posts. It's not fun to be grouped with players well above your skill level where you know even before you get to the venue you're spending the next couple of hours losing with no chance at anything. I won 1/7 matches in that group. I said I'd prefer to play in a whole separate group of intermediates where we are actually having a chance at winning, then if we make top 3 in group, which is now possible, maybe we've learned enough to battle off in the play-offs against the pros.

They agreed with me on that and the next elite state comp will be run like this, as also the pros didn't want to waste their time going all over state venues to a match they only need to half ass around to win.

But with this tournament it's different. I don't want to sounds like I'm having a whinge lol, just I see it as unfair in a way. We are just making up prize money with no chance to see it. We are there to play the pros into form. That's why I'm gonna be an imp on Saturday morning and not get the shits, but try as hard as possible to play well. Playing the best also makes my game better so I also see it as a 85€ training sessions against top players. Since I haven't played competitively in 6 weeks, this is a practice session for when the summer league starts on Wednesday. It also allows me to see where I'm at in terms of beating the elites and where I need improvement. Which is all around. :p

The rest of my team didn't bother with this tournament so I want to come out of it with confidence like, if I don't make round 2, I just wanna know I played well and can take that momentum with me to Wednesday.

lol He's great! Even The Mother likes him!!! Hell, having him come here and being around doing things has given me much added worth. :D

Its just that I'm fairly certain neither of us were thinking about "love" per se when this started...

I had planned on NEVER EVER loving (a man) again...but then who in the world even makes foolish plans such as that? (probably more than I realize) Anyway, everything is fine...I just feel it is getting to be more, even though neither of us have talked about that.

Hurting my back hasn't really helped "things"...but he has been coming around really often and helping and not saying a word but what would I like for him to do.

He is a good man, in so many ways.
