We struck a deal with a shop front where like if you don't have your own computer but you want to race sims then this shop has all the simulator setups and you go in and pay for a few hours or whatever. Well this owner wants to sponsor us so he will give us the money to host the league sessions if he can put people in the sim seat to race on our leagues. We said sure! Too easy, but not our main series because that's invite only so we don't want random people coming into the server and ruining the racing because what we have when we went invite only series was we only invite folks that can race properly and our other 3 series are open for all.

So that's cool we have a little business going on now. I'm ready to sell out! $15US who's in? :tearsofjoy:

I'm tempted to throw in my own money to get merchandise up and running. Few shirts, hoodies of our series if I can design a cool print. I'll make the money back up in sales hopefully. I did this before I made 10 can coolers and some stickers and then I went to the track on open day and started slinging them around.

You see, that's one thing I really learned from Insane Clown Posse is how to market correctly in a very small fan base and that was to make everyone happy and you know how you make everyone happy? You sling free shit to everyone. So I was at the track slinging out my iRacing bags of stickers and can coozies. And ppl start plastering your stickers on signs and toilet amenities and then before weekend is over you got 50 new Facebook fans and all looks good lol.

So I'm tempted to put my own money into this now.. I really need to chase a major sponsor too, someone that's going to throw in thousands behind us so we can get practice sessions and more leagues running. More admin etc.

Yeah so speaking of the phone call and the 6th sense, about 10 years ago maybe I was helping my dad move one of his older friends out of a old folks home so he could go back to England to live out his days and as I was walking backwards with a lounge I felt something pull down on my right side shirt and I paused really suddenly and I must have had a weird look on my face for my dad actually paused with me and asked what was wrong. And I shook it off as just something but I knew it was something at the same time. It was solid contact. So I didn't think much about it and went home and then my mum calls me and I knew what she was going to say the moment I picked up the phone. I knew she was going to say my grandmother had died. She wasn't sick or near passing so I should never have even thought of it. And that's exactly what she said to me and the time of death was exact the time, give or take, that I had felt that connection in the retirement home.

I took it as a sign of last goodbyes. It's pretty cool to think about really. That was maybe her only way to say goodbye and I'm happy I felt that. None of my other family did. I mean I heard stories of visitations in dreams but mine was in flesh and blood and she came to sat goodbye to me. :)

Don't think I get to commentate today. Broadcaster is having their rabbit put down so not up for it...

We told him just do the cameras we don't need the vocals. No dice though.

What annoys us is that, 80% of the field expects to be broadcast so this shenanigans just drags us down a bit. It's a disappointing. Ah well in a fortnight I'll have another chance.

I've been looking for a modern/mid-century metal sculpture to hang over the fireplace... Last week I found one at Goodwill. It's signed and dated... Today I looked it up and found the artist and some very similar pieces. Artist's name is Curtis Jere.

Here is an eBay listing for a piece very similar to mine. Curtis Jere Forest Metal Wall Sculpture | eBay

Seller is asking $1500 for this one... I've seen similar prices for this artist's work elsewhere. Guess he's kinda famous.

I got mine at Goodwill for $2.89

    lol

I have a fake Dali. Someone gave me. It's a pretty kitschy piece but I like it.

Actually it was the CEO... That would make him "THE GM Executive" I believe... Proof that having money doesn't make one a good driver.

That's fantastic. I think there are still those in the government that hope to turn the tide, but for marijuana it looks like the worst may be over.
